I can't remember the last time I showered. I feel so disgusting and I felt so self conscious all day at work, but I get home and get straight back in bed again and here I am unable to drag myself to the shower.
Maybe I'll tell myself I'll have one in the morning. Ha! The inability to drag myself out of bed until I am most definitely going to be late for work kind of gets in the way of that. WHY CAN'T I JUST FUNCTION LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING!? I'm pathetic. |

You are not pathetic. So many of us have been there. I would wake up and go lay on the couch and then in the evening go from the couch back to bed. Showering seemed exhausting. One day it will be the right day and when it is, make sure you are so proud of yourself. Until then you are doing the best that you can and that is good enough.

A lot of us here have motivation problems and it's probably taking all of your energy to cope with your job. You're not alone in this. I mainly go from bed to my recliner to watch tv and back to bed. Showering can be challenging for me too when I'm in the midst of a severe depression. Hang in there. Thinking of you...
