I'm placing this here because in relation to this irritability I am sad - very sad

If you've read elsewhere you will know I have been spurned by my own son. I feel a number of emotions. Irritability is one of them. Normally this is a mood that hits me while I'm anxious but this time around it is accompanying a great feeling of sadness. Irritability makes me feel so out of control. That lack of control seems to be making me feel even worse.

I have done so well with keeping depression at bay this last year. I am really frightened this great sadness I feel right now may not lift.

I'm sorry you are estranged from your son. I hadn't read your back story. Do you know where the irritability and sadness is coming from? You need support. What about a therapist, family or friends? Is it specific or generalized? I'm glad you're not depressed. If this irritability and sadness continues in a strong manner for several days you might want to contact your pdoc. I hope you start feeling better soon. Irritation is painful. Thinking of you.

Thank you for your sympathy, kind words, and very good suggestions.

This is more situational than general in origin. It is in response to an event. Still, the sadness and irritability linger. I am ticked. I am incredibly sad. I am doing my best not to allow my irritability in the matter cause me to shoot my mouth off or otherwise lash out and make it worse. I am holding back from confrontation. But in turn, this keeping a lid on it is contributing to the depession.

Fortunately I see my psychiatrist next week. I did have something else on the agenda I wanted to speak about but this will be the priority.

Again, thankyou for the support.
