I know having an emotional support animal isn't uncommon for people like us. Is there anyone that has had to deal with the lose of theirs? I had to put mine to sleep last night. I think I need to talk with someone that has been there. Just know up front that me expressing my emotions is difficult beyond the general sad, happy, angry, ect......

I have never experienced this so I can't offer advice. Just know that I'm really sorry you have to cope with this (on top of many other things..). You're in my thoughts, many hugs
Thanks for this!

I've never had an emotional support animal as such, but putting a pet down hurts and is such a difficult decision. I am sorry.

This was the one you were closest to, wasn't it?

Yes it was. He was there with me when I had my breakdown. It was only fair that I was there for his final moments.

So very sorry for your loss. It must be very painful... Doubly so since you relied on your pet to help you through feelings like this. Hope you find some relief soon. Remember your happiest memories together.
