haloween Party

feeling quite depressed and quite stressed out this afternoon.

so in short, some people I know were holding a halloween party and they invited everyone accept me.

it might sound like a stupid thing to say, because even if I was invited, I probably wouldn't go to it anyway.

a big party with lots of people who I don't know, and some I don't like.. no thanks

the point isn't that.
the point is that, regardlesss, I wasn't invited to the party.

I wasn't even told why I couldn't come to the party

I wasn't even wished happy halloween

by nobody

I wasn't even read a scary halloween story

childish, right?

but when everyone is having so much fun on an event that happens only once a year..

you can't help but think about it.

sitting here crying because my halloween is non existent

Its ok I'm not invited to anything either. If you didn't want to go anyway even if invited then it doesn't matter. Do something you like to do and just try to let it go or leave the thought there.

That isn't childish or anything your fault at all. I remember times when people were getting ready to go out for the night or to some place, and I sat in the room and was never even looked at. It happens sometimes. I don't know exactly how to deal with it "successfully", but other people are in that situation all the time.

It's not childish, I understand why you feel hurt I'm sorry this happened to you.

Those people were rude and mean ggrrrrrrrrrr. I’m sorry . Sending grrrrrrrrrr and thoughts that today improves somewhat for you. We’re all here for you.

Ps I can’t stand bullies who single out one person and deliberately leave them out. How pathetic and childish..

I am on the same boat. Mycoworkers planned the Halloween party right in front of me. And did not invite me.

the Low lives in Homo sapiens never cease to amaze and disappoint me I’m sorry.....

For what it's worth I don't get any invites to anything either. It used to hurt me but I have learnt to live with it.

That sucks shattered.
For many years I was the taret of egg throwers on Halloween..you may think it would have ruined the holiday, but no, I like dressing up as something/one completely different. It’s fun to not look like yourself sometimes.
Anyway, I’ll say one thing I have learned from experience.
We get what we give. If we don’t show interest in get togethers in a general sense, when it comes time for a holiday party we are not always on the list.
I understand anxiety and other forms of MI make regular social interaction difficult, and we often become “outsiders”.
but you said you wouldn’t go anyway, and Im guessing they probably assumed as much.

Thank you. Most people tell me that I am childish when I complain about this at the age of 40.
While, I wish that I did not care, I do get hurt by their low blow behavior

Shattered Sanity - please try not to feel hurt. I hope the reason they didn’t invite you is they maybe didn’t want to put you in the uncomfortable position of saying no. Maybe that’s what they were thinking.

I try to tell myself the least hurtful thing to believe.

I’m not saying they were right

it matters to me

regardless of if I wanted to go to the party or not, not a single vampire or witch or anything in site

and yes, I am still going on about it. I'm still quite upset about the whole thing

not being invited, of course, but mainly that my halloween was just wasted
