so for those who've not seen my posts about me being handed eviction, I am now somewhere else- only for now, just while they sort out this place I am going to in febuary which will be my new home

I hate where I am, and I hate where I am spending christmas (I hate it)

people have told me I should be lucky- you're safe and warm for christmas, you have food and shelter, but..... urg!

it is taking too long and I really hate this place, and despite people saying I'll be going to my new place in febuary, it seems so far away and so pointless.

from where I'm sitting, who cares about it anyway.

just don't know how to make it to febuary.. I know it's not far, but it seems months away

Focus on anything but where you live for now. Focus on family and hobbies and literally anything else. You can do this!

When I was living in transitional housing, which I won't say I hated because the alternative was a homeless shelter, but it was definitely sub optimal, I did everything I could to get out during the day. I went to coffee shops, libraries, malls, any place I could hang out and kill time.

I don't know if you're living with other people - I was living with 29 other women, I tried not to get involved in the drama. After dinner, I'd retreat to my room with my computer and listen to music, watch DVD's or surf - I paid extra for my own internet but it was worth it. Or you may find getting involved with other people helpful - your call if relevant.

Good luck.

does " I want a budgie", count?

I really want a budgie, and it's like the only thing I can think of for a distraction.

I am spending christmas alone, so I can't use that (despite everyone going on at me that christmas is fun and an enjoyable time!)

maybe for them, not me

thanks for your support
