Is it normal to feel numb and emotionless for no reason. The other day i felt numb to many emotions and it lasted for a few days. I have ocd and anxiety and am deoressed off and on but that confused me a little.

Sometimes, when we are feeling numb, there is an underlying emotion we are either avoiding or simply have not recognized.

Sometimes, I feel numb and then cry, for instance. I might then discover I was feeling sad underneath the numbness.

The numbness can be a protective mechanism.

I have read some of your posts and can see that your mood seems to be indicating ocd and low mood; I hope you manage to speak to a professional if you haven’t already because it’s the bravest thing you can do when you feel like this and it can help a lot! Don’t leave it until it gets worse because getting help quickly means your more likely to recover. Everyone has bad days even people without mental health issues - I think feeling numb is when you get to a point because you’ve been feeling sad about the same thing for too long (: I hope you find someone to help you and you start to feel better!

Yes professional help is advisable. Sometimes feeling sad about the same thing for too long can make you sad. But sometimes a drop in chemicals can also have the same effect. It was the latter with me. I had to see a psych doc and now though my depression is still there I don't feel numb anymore - and I can even experience happiness once in a while.
