I have delt with depression for years. I've tried all sorts of medication and the would work for a bout six months or so. Then I would become agitated. I figured it was better to be depressed then a royal witch, ecspecially to my husband and kids. I haven't took anything for my depression in about 3 - 4 years. I've had my ups and downs and I've got through them pretty much ok. About 2 years ago we moved to be near my parents and sisters. To make a long story short, ever sinced we moved life has been one major event after another. Now all I can do is cry, I have no motivation, and I feel utterly helpless. I just don't know how to pick myself up and get it together. I'm living life in such desperation. I just can't take anything else happening. How can I face tomorrow, when i can barely make it through today? what is going to happen next :/

honey you have to keep trying... because there is no other choice... allow yourself to feel overwhelmed... maybe you are... wouldn't that be normal? depression has reasons sometimes... what are they, take them one by one and do what you can... use the courage to change poem:

God grant me the courage to change the things i can
the serenity to accept the things i can't
the wisdom to know the difference...

a number of us are hurting right now... come join us... we'll get thru this together... has T called yet?

You should not give up on cures. You say you have tried all meds, but there is quantity of details to consider. Not only which meds, but also in which pattern, in which combinations, for how much time. Was your pdoc really good, really good on your particular disorder? Experince is vital with mood disorders as there are no charts.
The same applies for psychotherapy, to find the right person is DIFFICULT.
I just mean: keep trying by all means, because I'm afraid that it doesn't pass by itself, and it doesn't get better with time passing on.

I wish you the best of luck

When you are depressed it is sooooo easy to become overwhelmed just by everyday living. The agitation, helplessness, hopelessness and (of course the ever famous) constant tears are all part of the game.

You are among friends here. Members can offer the comfort of knowing what you are going through. Many members having been there or are there themselves.

It might not hurt to try medications and therapy again. New medications and new therapy techniques are developed all the time. As Stefno said it could take time but the right combination can pull you through.

No, I haven't seen a "good" therapist. I really need to see a psychologist. The thing is money is an issue and I just can't afford to go see one. I've thought about it alot, ecspecially here lately. I really need to. Anyway, thanks.
