After trying to build up the motivation to post on here for a few months I guess I'm doing it. I've been struggling for a very long time, openly accepting it for about 4 years now, it's funny how time works. I can barely remember the times where I wanted to get better, where I wanted to change and beat my problems, now I simply am waiting till a plan works out. Maybe I can change and get better but that's not my intent anymore. I won't go through the trouble of typing out my story and everything I've been through and done because it's just too much. Sorry for wasting everyone's time but I don't see a point in continuing this post

Tim

Baby steps. If you're not comfortable posting your entire story outright that's fine. And hey, you don't have to if you never feel like it. It took me a while of lurking, then posting on other people's threads to finally make threads of my own. It has helped me to vent a bit about things.

Hello Tim: I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral! I hope you find PC to be of benefit. I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time. Please don't feel as though you've wasted anyone's time here. This is what we're all here for. Yes, it does take some time to feel comfortable. But just take your time. There's a lot of support that can be available here on PC. My best wishes to you...

Hey Tim

Plucking up the courage to make your first post is a big thing. I did the same. I read here for about 12months before I posted for the first time. And like ShadowGX & Skeezys have said there is no need to do anything more than you're comfortable with. I have always found the community here to be friendly, understanding & helpful. I'll be honest I find a lot of help & comfort in reading other member's posts & the replies.

Take your time. Do what feels right for you. Take good care of yourself

You didn't waste my time. The search to get better, I've pretty much come to the same personal resolution. If you let it out on here, you're not burdening anyone because that's not how it works here. Here, you are not a weight on anyone's ankle, you're another voice in this sea voices. Anyone who reads what you have to say, they might just benefit from it because they'll find someone who they can relate to. Everyone who reads and offers help, if only just a hug, do it because we want to help you. Good job writing your first post, took me a while too. It's a step towards possible help, or at least, a step towards hopefully feeling a little less alone.

Good on you Tim to make it this far with posting. It's actually an achievement and I'd like you to know that there's always hope for change. Yes, change takes time, all good things do, but it's as Lao Tzu the ancient philosopher said: 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step' - which is very true. Good on you friend.
