These past few days have been so dull and gloomy. It's hardly been light all day. I hate it. It's not even the shortest day yet, it's still 3 weeks off. At first I looked forward to the short days, I looked forward to it being dark early, but now it just seems constantly dark and it's really depressing me. And then it's my birthday today and I'm fed up of getting older, I hate it, nothing ever gets better with getting older and I feel less able to cope with adult life as I age too. I'm hating this winter already

I personally just can't handle the cold. I feel trapped and suffocated by it.

I hope you start to feel better silver and happy birthday.

ME TOO! ME TOO!

My birthday falls in april, by the way, but I hate it anyway.
Many people see it as GROWING, but we only see it as AGING. How sad... hold on my friend!

Happy Birthday!!!

Yeh totally understand what you are saying - it is so drab!! If it was frosty with blue skys for part of the day then i could forgive the short days but drizzle and clouds are definately not the way forward!

Tell you what though -- there is the xmas market! Fancy a birthday hot chocolate sometime? I do love looking at all the displays and having to wear a hat!

Hope you celebrated today!

silver queen have you thought about getting one of those SAD lights, they help a lot of people who get depressed because of less sunlight and winter in general

Cyrano, you are living in the wrong place to hate cold and snow, but im sure you know that. I think of moving someplace warmer all year round sometimes, but there are downsides there also...too hot in summer, too many biting insects, etc.

Joe, the happiest I've ever been was when I was living in LA. Now, it was brief but the climate was perfect and everyone you meet in every coffee shop knows what it means if you have a script in turnaround. It was just my environment.

One day I'll get back there but not until I have a career oriented reason to go.
