You know those nights or early mornings when you cant sleep, yet the whole rest of the house and street are all sleeping.

Its 5AM now Im sitting up in bed finding some peace.

Knowing that everyone and the rest of the world or US isn't up getting in front of me living their best lives, its a weird thought, its not malicious either. I just often watch my life pass me by, people getting on with themselves right now were all on the same page.. my brother seems truly happy recently too his gf moved in with him.
Here I am struggling to even smile, I digress.

Theres some solace being awake, its dark out and I can hear the rain hitting the roof. Im okay right now, no one can hurt me. I don't think the people around me realize how stuck inside myself I am, I sit in my room and cry, they question why I lock myself in there.

Anyway let me know if you ever feel similar maybe you can suggest something you enjoy when everyone else is sleeping.
Hugs from:

Thanks for this!

Ditto. Although I'm currently working a job that keeps me up till 7 in the morning, my days off I keep the same schedule. It is quite peaceful staying up at night waiting for the sun to rise.

I also feel as though my life is passing me by. I imagine though, most people do. As we are all individuals, life has a way of feeling isolating I find. I can only ever really experience my own in internal life and it's hard to judge the internal lives of others. I assume most people feel uneasy, as I certainly do, about the passage of time, and a bit discontent about their lives, probably even the people in your life that appear to be happy. At least with places like this we can feel a bit less isolated with our anxieties. I find some solace in not being alone in my feelings I hope you do to.

Dan, I have a white noise machine which helps me relax enough to sleep. I bought it online through Sharper Image for about $80. It has been worth every cent.

I completely understand how your feeling. I can't sleep myself. I feel like my life is passing me by. I see people being happy and I can't even touch their happiness.

HouseStark, often times I get caught up in myself and center on my feelings that I forget that Im not at all special, and just like yourself discontent as they watch their own lives eats at them as well. Thank you

Hey Buffy, I was saying to Housestark its really easy to get caught up in "I", only to find you and housestark thinking the same exact thoughts as my own. Not that it feels good to know that Im not alone but that these are maybe normal thoughts and part of the break through is learning to deal with them or use them, to find positive in them at the very times we cant. You don't walk alone Buffy, thank you too.
