Hi all, It's been a while since I've been on the forum as I've been trying to work on a variety of things but I'm back on antidepressants (Prozac) but still feeling a serious lack of motivation and focus (MDD & ADD).

I'm currently only taking 40 mg of Prozac and looking to add motivation. What dosage have you found increases motivation focus and when using Prozac?

If I were to add something to Prozac, what would you suggest for motivation and attention? I do have to be careful with anything that will do similar things that Prozac does (norepinephrine and dopamine) because my blood pressure seems to drop quite a bit when I try to combine things.

Have you had any success adding things to Prozac that increases your attention and motivation?

Many thanks!

Hi there!

I have severe major depression (MDD) with psychotic features, also GAD and some OCD.

This is what I take:

morning:
Prozac 40 mg
Wellbutrin 300 mg
Abilify 10 mg

evening:
Remeron 30 mg
Abilify 10 mg

Also, Ativan 1 mg tid

They've been keeping me stable, overall...

I find the Remeron (also known as mirtazepine) really takes away any suicidal thoughts I may have in the evening. It's been a big help to me.

It seems that you are looking for a medication answer. Although, there is great benefit for adding things like exercise (walking helps), relaxation, and consistency. Those three things can help prozac to work without adding more.

I have been through many meds, and found that most have things I didn't like. maybe you are different but think, what can I do to support my healing.

Mindset in otherwords helps the meds do their job.
Thanks for this!
