I've tried and I've tried, because supposedly "laughter is the best medicine", but it's just not happening. I can't enjoy anything anymore because I'm too caught up with the thoughts running through my head.

"There's so much to do! I don't have time for this. I can't watch a movie I need to check train times right now. I have to check my email for a response from my tandem partner every five minutes (which btw he finally replied and said he could pick me up)."

I've smoked an entire pack of cigarettes today in 2 hours, due to all the stress I had to handle this morning. So much running around town to get things organized and I'm still not done.

*the following may trigger twitching of the eye or leg*

I think my body's giving up, because I can't stop twitching. Have you ever had your eye twitch for hours and not be able to stop? Yeah...or the fact that my cheek keeps twitching when I try to speak with people for information. It's really starting to bother me, because I feel it, but I don't know if anyone notices it. It's been doing this for a week now; both my eye and my cheek.

I can't laugh anymore. I can't laugh anymore. I can't laugh anymore. I can't laugh anymore. I can't laugh anymore.
When I am under alot of stress, which I understand you are, I get twitches too. Once everything calms down your twitching should stop, if it don't then you should go to the doctor.

gimmeice is right, those sound like physical symptoms

try to relax meccorad, sounds like you are stressing over too many worries at once... take a breathe and exhale as much away from you as you can and repeat it if it helps, if it doesnt, try to take your mind from fear for a bit and picture a favorite memory of some time you had somewhere... keep us tuned if you can

wishing you the best

The twitching could be a result of all the stress you are under at the moment. However as a frog of little brain I don't know that for sure.

What's that quote...."so much to do and so little time" I'm sure you are feeling just like that at this exact moment.

This has helped me sometimes when the thoughts are racing to fast for me to catch up. Get some paper and a pencil and start writing. List everything that comes to mind and I mean everything that comes to mind.

Yours will not be anything like mine but just to give you an idea.....
Take out trash
Wash last night's dishes
Write check for cable TV
Put clean sheets on the bed
Pick what's his name up from the airport
Need dog food
Put gas in car
See if you like "mushroom" for the walls in the bedroom
Just keep writing everything down and cross things off as you finish.

Once written down you don't have to remember it. Just look at your list. And by crossing off things as done you see how much you have completed.

Did I mention that I was a frog of little brain?

I just hope things start going better for you.

I had twitching on my right leg for a long time as I was going through my initial stress period: you have to (if I may say so) see your doctor. Just to be safe. I know you have a lot on your plate at the moment, but it would be a wise move, I think. Keep us updated, please. I smoke too much myself, especially when stressed. Good luck to you.

I want to say first that I am so glad that you have a ride. Wonderful!

I'm not a doctor but I think the twitching is from stress.

You will be on your way soon. Think of that. This is great news. Something to put a smile on your face.

When you are so overwhelmed with stuff and you are emotionally drained then I can understand not laughing...I get that way. I also get the twitches in my eye when I'm so overwhelmed.

Try to hang in there!

I don't laugh anymore because I have some severe dental problems. My kids joke around and try to take pics of me....I don't cry anymore because I cried myself out years ago.

I hope you find your way again.

Take care,
Dee
