hi
worked hard at getting a permanent contract, pushed everything troublesome away in my mind now its all coming back. Have to take time off work. I hate doing that because of my students but staying on & taking time off at random seems to be worse.

In taking time off from work, are you able to get some sort of government subsidy to help with the bills? That would be great.

We are about the same age.....except that you are WAY WAY WAY older than me...by 2 years. How long have you been troubled with depression. It's a major drag-ola, no?

So glad you found this site. Lots of great people here, and quite a few from the UK. Take care.

Welcome sharky! Yeah, this site has many awesome members. Though a year seems a long time, it isn't as long as some go with depression before getting real help... and in that you have better "odds" of the medication and such helping you permanently... like battle this episode of depression and you might not have much trouble in years to come! At least, I hope so. But, if not, there will always be ppl like me here who are depressed forever... and will always listen for you...

Sharky its ok to be scared about new things that come to us in our lives even things hat we do not understand.
I know where your coming from about your contract and the worry that you have about it and your studants. I deal with the same thoughts every day as do every one in our state of mind some can deal with it and some cant . I have been in my own business and doing my own thing for about twenty eight years and have delt with my depresion on my own and still doing it. allways keep in mind your never really alone you found this site and alot good people seem to be here to help Im new to the site but I have read alot of probleams and alot of responses you have good support here stay srong and willing to overcome and you will be ok. I found an outlet for my worrysome thoughts I wright and it seams to help for the tome being. good luck haller at me any time.

Welcome Sharky. You've come to the right place for love and support with depression. During the worst parts, coming here was the brightest part of my days this summer.

I hope to see you around!

Welcome Sharky (& Keeper). I'm fairly new to this site too, if you 2 weeks new. The people here are very caring & sensitive, & are great at putting things into a perspective other than what we may see. I have found that they are always here to lend an ear & help with ideas.

Hope this becomes a new home to you too.
