I, kebsfroggy, a frog of little brain don't have the answer. However, a friend of mine who is also my sister, says to do one thing everyday.
There have been many days when washing my hair was the only thing I accomplished. However, many times one small thing leads to others and your motivation will begin to return. That's not to say there won't be a lot of ups and downs. However as the small successes mount the emptiness will subside. Be kind to yourself. I hope things begin looking up for you very soon. Small goals, with rewards like what was already said. Go easy on yourself too... "Rome wasn't built in a day" as an expression. ![]()

I like the idea of starting with small goals, that has worked for me in the past. I hope you find your motivation soon. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm struggling with the problem of being devoid of motivation, myself. I feel your pain... It's totally out of my character not to be motivated. Usually, I'm a workaholic and work myself to the bone, but when I'm back at home from college, things get topsy-turvy.
I think the advice on here is helpful: one small step at a time. It reminds me of a great movie, "What About Bob?" starring Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfus. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it; it will most definitely get you to smile ![]() Anyway, in that movie, Richard Dreyfus's character is a psychotherapist who treats Bob (Bill Murray). He recommends that Bob read his most recent book, "Baby Steps," which Bob feels completely revolutionizes his life, It's hard to do anything when you're stuck on the big picture: focus on one small goal at a time. It might feel like "just a drop in the bucket" but that's one drop you didn't have before, right? [I wish I could follow my own advice as easily as I make it sound ![]() Hope this helps, ![]() J
