Dear Person,

Have you ever thought about discussing your sadness with your MD.

It is possible that you can get referred thru him to a therapist for talk therapy once a week for a few months.

It would be such a wonderful treat (ment) for you that not only benefits yourself, but your precious girls also.

I'd march straight to my Dr. and ask how soon can you get your analysis started, and if you could use an anti-depressant, he may prescribe for you in the meantime.

Best of luck to you....

peace and comfort in reducing the sadness and hoping for better times,
nightbird

Hello and welcome to Psych Central. I agree with Nightbird that you need to see an MD, and possibly get a physical and a referral to a therapist and on an antidepressant. Although a lot of depression is related to Post partum Depression, which has a way of creeping up on you unexpectedly and leaving you confused and feeling alone even though everything else is going okay. I wish I had the resources such as this when I had Post Partum when my son was small it would have helped tremendously. Depression is not failure it is a chemical imbalance and can be helped with therapy nd medication. Take care. (((Black Tears))). PM anytime. Soidhonia.
