I decided I should see a psychologist but it's not for 2 weeks.
But I wanted to see if I really am suffering from depression (or something else) I dropped out of highschool in April. I have lost all of my friends. My behavior at work has changed; I am the youngest manager (16 years old) to ever work at my McDonalds and I was a multi employee of the month winner. But lately I have been told somethings up. I don't show the same qualities I used to. I am slowing down a lot. I have TERRIBLE mood swings and it's beginning to effect my work a lot. Luckily my superiors love me and aren't going to fire me, but they say I need help My mood changes from happy to sad all of a sudden. sometime I talk a lot and others I won't respond to anyone. I havent been falling asleep until 2:30 - 4am... I'll go to bed tired and all of a sudden have a burst of energy. sometimes I'll go out and spend hundreds of dollars on books or camera equipment. I also don't have a social life at all anymore and lastly, I have a fetish with womans underwear for the past 5 years.. and I don't know if that is affecting my mental health. Do I need to be instituinalized? |

No what you describe sounds an awful lot liek the start of bipolar disorder, although only a dr. can diagnose you. I'd start with getting a medical to rule out any physical changes that could be affecting your mood swings. And seeing a psychologist is a great idea, just keep in mind that they can't prescribe meds, so if you do need meds, you'll probably be referred to a psychiatrist.
The important thing is to be really honest with your dr's and T when you describe how you're feeling. Otherwise they can't help you. Good luck. --splitimage |

I agree with splitimage. Again, I'm not expert. You may need to take more immediate action than waiting two weeks, if possible. Good luck. Please keep us posted.

Don't count on medications solving all your problems. Think hopefully about the psychotherapist. That's my thought for the day.
