Hi everyone, I am new here and hoping all the venting helps. Right now I am at work, suppose to be doing work of course but I cannot concentrate. I hear the people around me on the phone and I think to myself I should be doing that but i do not want to talk to anyone. iwant to go home, curl up in my bed cry, take something to help me sleep and sleep for the rest of the day. I dont want to be around a single person. I dont know what to do. I know this problem with not doing work is going to cathc up to me soon and then i will be even more depressed. I just feel so lonely. I want to go the bathroom and cry.

((((((katielee102))))))) I'm so sorry you feel that way. You are describing how I was yesterday, (and almost every evening this past week). Yesterday was the first day in a long long time I've been like that at work. It's ok to cry and let it out. Go ahead in to the bathroom and cry. If you can, go to your car and scream if you need to. It's ok. You don't even need to know why you want to cry. Go to the bathroom, put some cool water on your face afterwards, take a long deep breath and tell yourself you'll be ok. Everyone here at PC is here for you. Vent all you want, cry, it's ok. If you want to PM me at any time, feel free. Keep your chin up (that way the tears don't make a mess on your work. ).

Hi Kathylee;
I've have been in the same place you are, at work can't do much but hold back the tears and wish I could just run and hide, if you can get away from your desk and just go outside for a few minutes and walk around, and even cry go ahead that may help you a litte. These feelings will get better, just keep posting and see your counselor and find a group you can go to, they can be very helpful as well.

Don't be so hard on yourself, if work gets done it will and if it don't you will get it done another day. Take a few breaths, scream if you have to and again don't be so hard on yourself.

do you guys feel like tears just well up and as much as you don't want to cry it happens anyway?

I probably cry at some point daily if not close to it. Sometimes sobbing, sometimes just tears and maybe a few sniffles. Sometimes it's in reaction to something, other times it's just because I'm sad and don't want to be (then I feel bad for the contradiction and cry for not having more control over my own thoughts)

Yes, there are days I feel like that. Like today. Nothing has happened, work is going fine, the girls are fine, it didn't take as much money to fill up the van as I thought it would--things are ok. And yet, as I'm running a report for work my eyes cloud over and I just feel sad.

Thank you for your support! I did make it through the day but in all honesty I did not get much work done but like you said if it gets done it gets done if not there is always tomorrow. I am trying to find a group to go to because my health insurance doesnt cover enough for me to afford a therapist but I think everyone here will help because they understand how i feel. I feel good today, at least right now I do. Of course i have no ambition to do anywork so I will have to work on that.
How are you??

This morning I was feeling sad, though nothing happened to set me off. I'm immersed in work now (and it's going smoothly) so actually I'm doing pretty good. Thank you very much for asking. I think finding a group to go to would be wonderful. A lot of hospitals offer free support groups, may be a good place to look. Hope your day stays well and you manage to get something done at work

Trust me you are certainly not alone...I waited for everyone to go home then cried my eyes out. My reasons are many and varied but the end result is still the same.

Just remember that this very intense human experience that you're going through is being repeated all over the world. We're all just human and sometimes need to cry as much as we need to laugh...

You are so right. It really makes me feel better knowing that I am not the only one who feels this way. Thank you!

I was going through old post and saw this one. I wanted to thank you all again for all of the help and support you gave me in your answers. You have no idea how much it meant/means.

I hope you are all doing great
