This says for eating disorder, but it's something we all need to repeat to ourselves, I have printed this out and have it on my refrigerator to see everytime I get something.

Positive Affirmations

Affirmations are a technique you can use to strengthen your thinking about yourself.
A definition of an affirmation is : A STRONG POSITIVE STATEMENT THAT YOU DO NOT BELIEVE, BUT WANT TO.
It is a form of re programming your mind with clear, healthy and positive statements, which will bring positive awareness about yourself. The mind operates on deep feelings and repetition so if you hear something often enough, you start to believe it. !
You do not have to be perfect to feel good. If you include your own name when saying the affirmation, you are reinforcing the strength of it's appeal to your subconscious.
If you find this difficult, you can write them down instead.
REPEAT THEM AND YOU KEEP THEM.
- I am relaxed and calm.
- I can feel the tension disappearing.
- I can heal my body.
- I release myself of all anxieties and stress.
- I am choosing to let go and as such I am taking control.
- I am willing to trust in my Higher Self.
- I am as attractive as most people.
- I am aware of my freedom.
- I am learning to love myself more every day.
- I do good things for myself and I enjoy doing good things for others.
- I like myself and others like me.
- I can handle any situation that confronts me.
- I deserve the best that life has to offer.
- I have the right to take time for myself every day.
- I have the right to ask for what I need.
- I respect myself and others.
- I am learning to love myself every day.
- I deserve to be happy.
- I can control my doubts and fears.
- I feel secure in my own self-worth.
- I am a very positive, strong, and sincere person.
- I am a good person and I see good in everyone.
- I have many talents, skills and gifts to offer.
- I have faith in my ability, despite my faults and mistakes I have made.
- I can make my dreams come true.
- I am more loveable and beautiful than I know.
- I am more important than I think.
- I am the source of my own self-esteem.
- I can respect and accept myself unconditionally.
- I love people for their qualities and forgive them for their mistakes.
- Every day in every way I am getting better and better.

My former T Steve always tried to get me to use affirmations and I resisted to no end and I try to use them now in his memory. When I do use them it does seem to work to break up the thought process. When a bad thought pops in my head if I can remember to I'll try to block with an affirmation and it usually helps but I don't use it to my advantage all the time.

Thanks for this list. When I get more ink for my printer I'm going to print them out and carry them with me.

i have a few affirmations around me continuously.. as many as we can gather the more positive of an effect they will create for us and in time the positivity accumulates and builds an inner strength within... affirmations are so useful because of their personal adaptation ability.. what is true for you becomes true for you!

Thank you for the list. It reminds me that I have positive affirmations in my little notebook that I always have at my side. I will try to look at them more often. I'll add this list to the ones that I have already. (((((DOWNINNATICK)))))

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.

"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are Real you don't mind being hurt."
