It's more like what meds am I not on. Deepening depression I'm not on Zoloft. Not sure where you got that idea. Here's my current list:

Tegretol 600mg
Risperdal 1mg (just started today)
Effexor XR 225mg
Wellbutrin SR 300mg
Klonopin 1mg
Xanax 2mg

I asked for an increase in my Wellbutrin but she refuses because she doesn't want me to rapid cycle any more than I already am. Unfortunately, I can't get her to understand that the depression with suicidal ideation is far more dangerous for me than rapid cycling. Deepening depression

I wish I could reach out more to God but my faith has taken a real nose dive since all this BP crap has surfaced. I often feel like He is abandoning me. Deepening depression

I'm sorry I think I get the two "angels" mixed up. Deepening depression Have you asked about the effexor...I take 600 of that..... or is she just dead set against increasing the ADs? I do not have bipolar.....well I don't have that diagnosis yet. I have to say though that zyprexa worked for me it helped me sleep and lifted my mood. I hope things get better with the added respirdal. Deepening depression

Angel, Have you been tried on a med called provigil? My doc recently gave it to me to help stabilize my mood, give me some energy so that I could feel like doing more thatn just staying in bed covered from head to toe all day and night. Its main use has been for narcolepsy tx, but he just went to conf in fla where they are using it for bipolars with really good success. The best part is that you don't have to wait 3 weeks for it to show any relief, it starts about an hour or so after you take it. It has truly made a major difference for me, I hope it will for you!

WOW! That's a lot of Effexor. No, she won't increase that either, she's dead set against increasing any ADs or adding another one. Deepening depression

She's never mentioned that med. Maybe I'll do some net research on it and talk to her about it. Right now we are really locking heads on the meds issue. I think it's time to get a 2nd opinion or a new pdoc. This isn't my only problem with her. I'm going to talk with my T and GP when I see them next week.

AngelGirl, is it possible your meds could be causing more problems than they're supposed to relieve?

You mentioned "net research" and that's the only way you will find the answers.

Please don't rely on your doc's opinion only. So many of them get commissions from the drug makers for prescribing meds.

Something to think about.

You deserve to feel better.

i just talk to people who understand and those who care. i been on pills that i find didn't help and i went to doctors who just open doors that i wish to keep close. i work out, sit quiet in a room, lay down, watch tv, listen to music or take a bath. and i talk to friends or those who understand. that is what i do. i know it is hard but you are not alone.
