Hi. I was diagnosed with type 2 in May this year. I was on 30-45 carbs per meal but my sugar would not get low enough so I have about cut that amount in half or less carbs. Doing better with a BG of 99 today.

Thank you! My wife has not been to Dr yet, but does have an appt. next week. I do think some corrections need to be made, but she is so gosh darn sensitive, we'll have to watch out for overcorrection.

I am very happy you are recovering well. Great news!
Thanks for this!

I haven't been doing very good diet wise. Recovering from back surgery has made my motivation to eat right and check my sugar really low... I am cooking a meal right now that is correct for how the center has taught me to eat. Pork roast with vegetables. Carrots and potatoes for carbs and onions and celery for veggies. Then the pork for protein. Gonna check sugar before I eat. I need to check it. I've been really bad about checking it.

I hope everyone is well today. 😊

My wife had an eye appt today, and her vision is much better. She was very fearful of receiving an eye injection, but they did not suggest this. She's to have a dye test done in 2months, and in the meantime double check the dye is safe for her. (which it should be)

@ Gus - i am glad you are finding 7 cups to be a good community for you. 😊

I would be very fearful about an eye injection, too.

I'm planning to make soup today, but I've realized the potassium content will be really high for my wife. She'll only be able to have some if all her other foods today are very low in potassium. I'm frustrated i miscalculated the ingredients.
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Hope you managed to sort out the soup Gr3tta. I went to see Christopher Robin and I did enjoy it. It seems like it is taking forever for my hernia operation to arrive. Put some washing on the line today. Ouch. Off to see my T today.

My wife had an endocrinology appointment today. They changed some settings on her insulin pump, i hope it will be helpful. It seems to require constant tweaking. But i still think it's better than shots. Does anyone else have a pump? She has an Omnipod. Its "cordless" which is nice. She also has a Libre continuous glucometer.
She felt too sick to go to dialysis today, which is upsetting. They were to call if they got an opening for tomorrow, but she slept all day while i went to work so now she may go without until Sat.

Don't have a pump here. I hope that their tweaking has positive results this time. Does your wife feel better after sleeping? Sounds exhausting for the both of you.

Thank you, possom.
They did fit her in on Fri, as well as her usual time Sat. She was very exhausted to go back to back, but feels less nauseous.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Less nausea is always a bonus. I trust that things will continue to improve for her. The weekend was a mixture of breaking an iron by dropping it on the floor and catching up with a friend. So all round okay. Today Tuesday was DBT grad group.

How are you guys all going with the exercise and eating well side of things?

My wife's change in pump settings are a fail. Made everything worse. Left a message for triage nurse who did not call me back. My wife had a panic attack at dialysis and i left work an hour early to pick her up. She did complete almost the full treatment. I'll have to call the nurse again tomorrow.

@possum- oh I'm sorry you broke the iron! I hope you will be able to replace it soon. Glad you were able to catch up with your friend.

@ Marylin- that is quite ambitious! I hope it's not too much? But you know your capabilities. Success will surely yield results. Go for it, best of luck to you!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend! 😊

My wife is having trouble with her fistula, so will have a vascular appointment scheduled. I bought us tickets to a show next week for a surprise to look forward to. She's been very depressed.
