Thanks for that Gus. A couple of years back the same thing happened. No known cause that the dentist could pin point but a couple of root canal treatments did the trick plus some antibiotics. Hmmm.

Just some dumb pimple near a tooth.
Thanks for this!

That is awesome—salads are so healthy too

I like balsamic vinegar, no oil (avocado instead).

I got my exercises done today with husband being around and even talking to my sis who lives in FL for awhile. She just got back from a two week fun trip to Europe.

I was still dithering about seeing the dentist. Last night I had this horrid nightmare about being stuck at the dentist. So I called them today and have the appointment tomorrow at 4.45 pm.

Today I fell over and hurt nothing but my pride. Reminder to self to not talk and walk at the same time.
Thanks for this!

Thanks fror that Gus.

Went to the dentist today. Got a referral to a prosthodontist due to the fact that my bone is growth in my mouth has deteriorated. Infection hasn't helped. Diabetes who knows. Decades of psych meds that dry the mouth out has to be a factor. I can't afford to be sick literally.

Possum, hope you don't need much dental work done. I can't afford to be sick. I ha e trouble paying my deductible which is only a thousand dollars. It's not even good care in the hospital as my husband found out last week.

On the good side got in my exercise today and I am happy about that.

Must get the script filled out for the infection today. I have an appointment to see the specialist on the 19/7 in the afternoon. Not sure what he will say. I truly dont mind seeing a dentist it's more the costs involved. I had been putting off seeing a optometrist to get my eye sight checked next week - new set of glasses - as I bent my second set of reading ones. Other physical issues are there and that specialist has gone away for 2 months on holidays.

I dunno just feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Cant afford to be sick. Last night I had a dream that I was in a house and the windows were broken.

It is cold here and I want to hid in bed. Major effort will be required to get myself out of the house.

Good on you for getting your exercise in Deejay. Does anybody want to get a walk in to find the faeries with the pot of gold? We can share.

we shall start in the Golden Grove, of course~!

(Pando (tree) Pando (Latin for "spread out"), also known as the Trembling Giant, is a clonal colony of an individual male quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) determined to be a single living organism by identical genetic markers and assumed to have one massive underground root system.)

That looks like a beautiful place to start Gus. We shall have to keep our eye wide open to see the faeries as they would blend in so well there. I wonder if they would come to us if we talked to them?

Today I had blood taken at the doctor's for a diabetic review. The doctor just rang me expressing concern because the lab phoned him and said my blood sugar was too high at 396mg or 22 mmol/L...he asked me to do a reading on my meter there and then and it was the same.He said why and I had to confess I'd been drinking juices and eating the wrong foods, lack of willpower I said and I blamed the hot weather for drinking juices.I have to go strict with my diet,no sugar or juices and I have to go see the diabetic nurse this coming tuesday,19th June.It has been brought forward my appointment from 10 July.

I am in trouble with the doctor I think.I don't know what the nurse will say...I can't go on insulin cos it makes me ravenous and I eat with abandon on that and last time I went on it I gained 3 stones in weight...I am going to see if they just allow me to go back to a strict diet monitoring situation and ask them to monitor me more regularly cos they put me back on six month reviews instead of 3 months and so I got less strict and even stopped doing my readings at home with my own meter..I just got fed up of having to check it all the time and restrict my eating so I ate what I wanted whenever I wanted.Apparently though, doctor is calling time on that state of affairs.

Naughty me.Help.What should I do about my sugar and cola addiction?

I think if you are drinking regular coke, going to diet coke wouldn't do it am I right? I am a religious caffeine free diet pepsi drinker myself. Have you tried Coke zero. There are also flavored diet comes I have tried because I got free samples in my groceries. The mango flavored one was quite good. I also drink different flavors of crystal light. I myself do not like water unless it has tons of ice and it's 90 degrees outside

Yeah grape crystal lite, zero calorie tang, they also have like zero cal root beer mix and other sodas -whats that grapefruit one? - they all come in the crystal lite type packets.

You can also try chocolate teas or very spicy teas - Good Earth is a very good spicy tea, black or herbal. The chocolate teas also are flavored, such as banana, strawberry, peppermint, coconut - i usually drink them cold. Im very lazy, i just stick a bag in a bottle of cold water.

Got to give up all soft drinks even the diet and zero sugar ones make me feel ill,it is the asparteme,it gives me a feeling of being sick and they taste sweet thus giving me cravings for other sweet foods. No have to kick this addiction and go back to drinking just plain water.

I drank 2 litres pepsi zero over two days these last two days and I feel really ill now and have strong cravings for the stuff...it is not good.If I get cancer again it will be my own stupid fault.

Never really been a big coke drinker. I also found that the additives in diet coke gave me headaches and were very hard on my gut. Sometimes now when I feel the need for bubbles I will have plain sparkling mineral water. Keep tap water in the fridge and have it with ice.

Maybe try eating whole fruit rather than the juice. You can do this.

there are several things to keep in mind:
1) the higher your blood sugar, the hungrier you are; (because your muscles aren't getting any food, they cry).
2) if it's in the house, you'll eat/drink it; (so DON'T buy it~!).
3) when you get dehydrated, you crave juices; (drink water, keep it by you bed, your computer, everywhere you sit down, and try to keep it cold).

My sugar was so high yesterday I found it hard not to crave juices today,I had ice creme which isn't good, but I was trying to stave off the need for juice.Unfortunately I gave in and had an orange juice today. When I got home and measured my sugars it was 28mmol/L which is 504 mg...so that is bad.Tomorrow I am home all day so no opportunity to buy juices.I will try to stick to water from now on.

I am seeing the diabetic nurse on Tuesday, hopefully there are new tablets that I can try or something apart from insulin to try.

not meaning to bum anybody out, but the consequences to having frequent high blood sugars are grim:

Possible trigger:

Please PLEASE take the risks seriously, and get help if you need to, to stick to a low-cal diet, high in water and vegetables~!
