Yup pretty much feel the same here unaluna. If I don't have some form of carb I feel sick.

Today I checked my bsl. It came back 15.7 . Feeling tired.... no wonder. This is not good. Need to make an appointment with my diabetes educator. Hmmm. Grrrr at myself.

Managed to keep level at 306 today which is 17.0 which is still too high but better than the 540,or 30.0 I started with 10 days ago.Gonna keep bringing it down.I managed to cut my bread intake by half today.I had cravings for cake when at the cafe, they have them in the counter there,I resisted the cravings and satisfied them with a sugar free gingerbread latte.I also allowed myself crisps. So I am finding alternatives to sugar laden treats,I am going to get on track and stay there.Hopefully tomorrow I can get my blood sugars down further.

I am back up to 378,that is my blood sugar level, mainly I am overdoing the carbs again today.I swear I have not touched anything sugary.Bread is the culprit and creme crackers.I have not had the strength or energy to prepare proper meals so have had sandwiches and creme crackers.Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to try harder to make proper food choices that lower my blood sugars and help me also to achieve weight loss goals.I have to start preparing food for myself that is healthy.

My weight is 293 pounds, which is 21 stones ,which is 133 kg.

My blood sugar has been out of whack all day. I started my day off going out to eat which did not help. Then I snacked on chips and had a hamburger with a bun for dinner and a nutty bar for dessert. My blood sugar has been as high as 348 and as low as 62 today. I hate it when it's all over the place so hard to control and I have to take my sugar alot. Hope everyone had a great day.

There is a drug called Victoza it's not insulin but you do inject it once a day. It helps with blood sugars and really curbs your appetite I went from 225lbs to 198lbs in two month's on this.

Both my breakfast reading and my pre lunch readings were 270 today.Slowly the numbers are coming down.I got a letter come today with a hospital appointment with the diabetic dietician on Thursday 14th February.

I have not eaten cakes, chocolate, ice creme, sweets or drank soda and juices since January 1st.It is carbs making my sugars go up that and fruit I think.I am trying to lessen the amount of carbs I eat.Next shop I am buying mostly vegetables and salad for my main meals.

None of my readings today were over 270.This is good.Hopefully they will start getting lower.I ate good food choices today and no sugar snacks, and I am lessening my intake of carbs.

@possum - I'm sorry you had such a high reading! I hope it came down and you are feeling better?

@Marylin- sounds like you are working hard and reaping the rewards! Woohoo!

@guinness- I'm sorry to see you have such big variations in readings in a day, that can make you feel awful. I hope you're having better days since.

Oh my gosh do i LOVE bread! For my wife it's bagels. 😊

My wife's been having a difficult recovery from her gastric pacemaker surgery, but still hopeful it will provide relief in the long term. She's suffered multiple retinal hemorrhages, and now needs surgery on her left eye. The good news is it should provide significant relief right away. It's been a struggle to get her insulin pump supplies with the insurance switch, but hopefully they are arriving Mon from the new company.

I hope everyone will have a great weekend!!

Thanks Gr3tta. I have never met a donut that it didn't like. Haven't had one for a hole week. Boom tish.......

The Vyvanse is not helping much. If I go up another level to 70mg it may help then again it may bring another level of aggravation to my tics/spasms and general crankiness. I might just have to invest in a broom stick and witches hat. My P'doc wants me to go inpatient to try the next level but being an inpatient and a different place brings other challenges. May this isn't a medication that I can tolerate.

I am not testing my blood sugar levels. I know what it will be. Grrr.

Hope things with your wife's physical issues will settle down in due course. It's a long road hey?

Yesterday my wife ran the gambit from a bs of 20, to over 500.
She also had dialysis which can play a role. Today so far she's doing much better. 😊
I'm hoping she can help a little with folding laundry, not at all because i mind, but because i know she wants to contribute. I'm going to clean up the kitchen.
She has a home a home PT referral in the works, and i would be mortified if someone saw a dirty stovetop or something. *eek!*
It might have to wait until after her eye surgery now, I'm not %100 percent, but that would make sense.

Happy weekend! Be healthy, but stll keep it fun! Wishing all the best. ❤

It sounds like your wife has a lot of difficulties with complications from her diabetes, having dialysis can't be easy.I hope her eye operation goes well and is successful Gr3etta.It is wonderful that she has you to keep house and home ticking over and to do the cleaning, you sound like an excellent husband.

I am still staying off any sweet junk foods, cakes, chocolate, ice creme. If I get cravings I have sugar free syrup in my coffee and diet coke. For most part I am averaging 252 for my blood sugar readings but get the occasional 392,but that's from eating white bread rolls,I am going to have to wean myself off of hot dogs and paninnis, maybe try brown bread. For my grocery shop to be delivered on Wednesday I have ordered a lot more vegetables, fish and less carbs and oils, fats, less bread, butter ,cheese.

I am having sugar free syrups and sweeteners, unfortunately aspartame is also bad for us and it is a poison but I guess it's the lesser evil to sugar for us!

I have been cheating like a mad man too. I see my endo on Wednesday. I got blood work last week and I know my A1C is going to be higher than last time I was there. Hopefully it's not over 7.
