Seems to me like everyone's actually trying hard to understand your situation which is somewhat confusing. DID is confusing to begin with, but when you introduce elements of death and spirituality, it becomes even more abstruse. I don't think anyone is questioning whether you are having this experience at all, but rather what is happening.

I'm not really sure why you're so upset. Are you maybe a little confused yourself or seeking some reassurance? I'm not attacking, just asking to see if you need some help.

Sorry if i have hurt you Eriks. The mind is very complicated and i hope there is a way that you can get diagnosed soon so that you can say with certainty this is who i am. Then also we might be able to say what your parts are.

i don't post on this forum much but i have read a few of your posts. just wanted to say i'm sorry you're having a rough time. while i don't have DID i have plenty of inner children so i find this forum helpful to read.

However, as yet, there are no biological theories concerning the origin of these disorders. Therefore, besides screening for common medical and psychiatric conditions, the clinician should also examine the particular cultural context in which the patient presents.

Treatment:
A consideration in the treatment of Trance and Possession Disorder is determining whether the person is in the midst of an episode of mental disorder or having a spiritual problem. Therefore treatment currently revoles around assistance to cope with the physical aspects of possession.

Counseling and Psychotherapy:
Supportive therapy and psychotherapy may be helpful in certain situations. Family therapy is often helpful to assist relatives in coping with the affected individual. Behavioral techniques used in a therapeutic setting, or in the home can help a person learn behaviors that will lead to social acceptance.

People here believe me more then I believe myself, so I think there is hope. But people are people still even here so sometimes it's hard to understand. it doesn't mean that nobody ever will...

Haven't been chattin' with you much lately.

I want you to know that I am still here. It's been difficult for me to talk to you lately. You haven't done anything wrong. It's just that I am struggling to understand my own dissociative disorder and it still confuses me all up inside. I am beginning to wrap my head around DID/DDNOS and am spending more time in the acceptance mode as opposed to the denial mode, but it is still difficult for me. When I read your posts, the things you say don't always make sense to me and the way your illness presents, it is kind of sitting outside my mental box which is making my understanding you that much more difficult.

I am glad you are going to follow through with meeting the T once you turn 18. You really need to find some clarity in this. Regardless what the diagnosis is, these experiences are yours and they stem from something. I'm not sure what or where or why, but it's really not my place to understand you as much as it is your place to understand yourself.

Honestly...I am not sure what is going on with you, but it is NOT my place to say anyway. One thing I caution you on though, whatever label or diagnosis someone decides to place on you, do your best to not let that label define who you are. You have nothing to prove to anyone here. All I ask is that you do your best to be patient with us all as we are grappling with our own issues as you grapple with yours.

It's not always easy facing up to someone elses issues that push our mental envelopes when we are struggling to face up to our own.

There ARE people who belive...VERY few, but they ARE there! We're just dissapointed that HERE, out of ALL places, we're not finding as many as we should be....

I don't believe there has been a lot of research done in Western Cultures as of yet, but I believe it is an up and coming area of research.

You alone have the right to the final say as to what your world, your life, your reality, and your experience consist of, how they work, what they look like, what they consist of, because ONLY YOU know this better than anyone else.

Don't let anyone else EVER tell you otherwise, OK?
