I had childhood and lately trauma.I have DID symptoms(bipolar, depression so on)

i dont think i can talk to my altars

I dont black out when i switch i remember what the other did

i have 6 altars now i dont know if i named them or i just knew their names :P

Bob(nice and kind),Tom(tough,a ****,bully),Jeffery(depressed, sad, emo),Donny(nerdy ,interested in things like dimensions, powers of the mind science stuff),Charlie(the child,hyper,playful),Linda/Lindsay(Scared,paranoid)

Is that DID or is it nothing?

I can talk to them but only if i want so its basicly talking to myself but acting as i am talking to another person

If you want i can post the full story but i warn you its very long.

Please reply.Thanks in advance ^^

Hi stefanuus, welcome to PC. Do you have a therapist at this time? We cannot diagnose here but there are tests that can be done to figure out what's going on with you. Perhaps you can ask your therapist (and if you don't have one, maybe think about getting one) about them? We do hope you'll find lots of support here though. Again, welcome.

Dear Stefanuus ~ No, we cannot dx here, but it doesn't sound like nothing. I am not sure whether "blackout" during personality changes is a necessary symptom of DID or not. I am so very sorry about the abuse you have endured. Please see a pdoc if you possibly can. If you feel that you cannot afford this for some reason, look in the yellow pages under mental health and call listings, asking where you can get treatment or counseling for a sliding scale fee or pro bono. billieJ

Normally you can not talk to your alters unless you know how and they wish to talk.

You do not have to black out or sleep. Only some people do.

Some alters have name and some do not. Some know how old they are and others do not.

Alters can be talked to by just thinking. They can also be felt as far as their moods.
