I'm wondering if I'm slightly DID?

Sometimes I am obbessed with things for a few days and then it'll go again. Sometimes I am desperate to play with my toys and other days I feel like I don't need them.

I have used names and created other people for games. Is it possible for people you have created to become part of you ?

Please help

(((((((WARM)))))))) sometimes our parts mirrow those around us. the really good ones will be those that surported us the most it is a way of keeping some good things in our lives. One part that we have is almost identical to our Nana. But please go talk to a T that will help u find out the truth.

While there is a spectrum of DID, you're either on it or you're not. In this case I don't think you are. What you are describing could be ego states, or DDNOS, or maybe it's just a normal imaginary friend sort of thing it really depends on the extent of it in my opinion.

In the end, what you feel is the way you feel and what your reality is simply is, even if it doesn't fit a label. just wanted to mention that because I don't want to be invalidating or anything, just saying that the particular label of DID isn't right.

Also remember too dear Warm, you've been around a lot of people who have DID or DDNOS or other DDs on the spectrum so you may be emulating what you're exposed to. I agree with Anderson the only way you're going to make sense of what you're going through is by talking to your T who is trained and knows you much better than we do. {safe hugs}

My advice is to document everything you are experiencing. When I was first told by my first T he "thought" I was a multiple, I went into total denial. It has only been years later that I could accept the facts. But along the way, I had to pay attention to missing time, and all sorts of things. Bottom line is to keep journaling and recording what is going on. Soon enough a pattern will present itself. If you do not have a T, get one. Even if you do not have DD , you can benifit from the input of a T. T can help you heal what is there that you need to heal.

You think you will be able to get to a therapist Warm?

I can't imagine trying to figure this whole mystery out without some kind, intelligent and informed therapist giving me a hand.

Love,
Hunny

I don't think you're DID...
Seeing a therapist would be prudent thoguh.
And I still have my toys and childhood stuff, but that doesn't make me DID. I am called different names too, one or two are my own while rest are the nicks given to me by friends and family; it's pretty normal...
Don't worry...

stating one is "slightly" DID is the same as stating one is "slightly" pregnant. either you are or you aren't, there is no inbetween.
