i want to ask who ever is here that if they have all their parts with out names and if they have to have ways to tell others (like their family) who they are how do you do that without names. I don't think names and words mean anything. we were confused on purpose to even call furniture by people names and to have are names changed. So words dont mean anything for definition. I wish i could change to different colors. Like a blue for one or yellow or something you could see. Then it wouldnt be like trying to tell people "im not who you want - your talking to me now.
just one name

kathyanita,

i think there are parts of me with no names whatsoever. they respond to my name (even if they come out at all).

ppl in my life rarely call my name...only the mother. i'm mom, babe, whatever. most parts respond to whatever. some don't however. i'm still trying to figure it all out no names

gl, hon.

Thanks,
for the luck. I still think it would be cool if there was a way to turn different colors. One time I actually painted my feet with green latex. Then when I got to the T appointment barefoot as usual, no reasonable explanation of my green feet would disaude her from shipping me off to the ER. They wound up keeping me for a week or so - so of course I stopped trying to explain anything and became a most compliant inpatient. So I'm sure not thinking of applying colors on the outside again!lol no names

Well, I guess I wish it was like traffic lights. Like every one knows you stop for red etc. So if people I would be with on the outside could see "hey shes green now so this is a different part - so I can't expect green here to know about what-all orange there was doing last night."
Thats just an example but I know its not possible.

or even something more inconspicuous like barrettes. there's alot we can do with that. that way those inside who don't like names but would like an assigned color can have the distinction they feel they might need?

let me know!

But I wouldn't even know it happened unless I could see the change. It's like I would be just as glad as anyone else out there for some kind of visual tip-off. Its really too confusing and theres also parts that wouldnt even know theyre part. So this is making me very sleepy now and Im taking a nap. Thanks for your answers and questions kd.

I think I get what you mean. Sometimes I feel a bit stuck or confused and I'm not sure who I am. If that makes any sense at all. Its funny. Cause I am always me. But sometimes I'm standing behind the body and someone else is in control. Maybe thats it. Figuring out whos there.

Mine have names but it gets a little complicated.

I kinda wish there wasn't the fuzziness that there is sometimes. But I guess the fuzziness is supposed to be good. But I don't like it.

Mine have objects. An old t gave us a box with these little things inside as a mindfulness exercise. A bead, a little shell. Stuff like that. I used to play around with the box. Taking them out and putting them back. But I wasn't sure if it was good to do that so we stopped.

((((((((((((kathyanita))))))))))) I love colors so much. I find this thread so interesting on so many levels. Do your parts journal? And if so, have they spoken of colors? One time in my journal was written about the color pink (a color which I can't stand) and they went on and on how much they loved the color pink. I don't have any answers, but I think this is very interesting to think about.

no journaling really. I think it was tried once but then everything in writing would be destroyed and burned up or soaked in liquid to bleed the writing out just in case any one of them keeping me would find it. Ive had T show me letters here and there that theyve received with my name and address. (Thats hugley embarrassing and scarey but must be a releif to someone in here)

So this site is as close as it gets to journaling. I search all users post and see whats been going on here at least.

Odd that any sort of artwork- no matter who or how it would be conceived or produced has never been destroyed. Like I know what it means - but I know that no one who shouldn't could ever read me through art and color. So arts a language and a disguise from the evil.

And color is a disguise and a deliverence. Im still green today now so its cool.

When i looked at the part in cc where the mockingbird charecter comes in the adonis love story thread it says " dont tell of the colors mixing under her robes" I think its wild that Im in the audience I was writing for and also describing something i was too thick to recognize yet.
oops. . . no names
sorry for going on at you. . . no names Code:

what a dolt I dont know how to make the text green

You can get colors by using open bracket then type the word color a colon : and the color and a closing bracket. you can close that color by using bracket slash the word color and bracket. I'll put it here with spaces, but don't use spaces for it to work: [ color : green ] then type in text and then [ / color ] if you are replying to a post, there will be a block of color squares. Clicking on a color will give you both opening and closing items, you need to type in between them .

Quote:
it's the same for quoting

[ quote ] [ / quote ] TC ok?

Hello. In our circles we have all sorts of names and stuff and even nona took her name be cause the doctor would not refer to her as no name so she made her name as no na me but do not use the me. Annndddd we have a group who are emotions buuuuttt I can not give you their names. The only one who calls us by any other name than the one we all have to use is our doctor be cause no body else knows we are all here annnndd it makes it easier for him. jj.

green is my favorite color, too- also some of my parts favorite. Others like blue and also pink.

We can't journal either- except here, and even then sometimes sorry what we wrote. Seeing handwritting is too upsetting. i'm sorry, kathyanita, that artwork and journaling gets ripped up. It happens here too sometimes.

Some of my parts have names and some don't.

It's so strange - all parts- we see ourselves so differently and expect everyone around us to notice but they don't and just keep calling us by that name. i don't know the best way to let people know who is out. Mostly i hope that they can just 'tell' by the way part's act and talk. It's a confusing subject.
My T will ask 'who is here?' if he doesn't know but my family and friends don't know or accept that i have parts.

Kathyanita, writing with different colors is good here.

Do your parts have different styles of dressing that your friends can see to try to understand who is out?
we do this automatically - different parts dress a certain way.
Color is way cool- especially green- it expresses so much. No wonder that it's ok with your parts.

Take care,
kerria

kerria,
yes you all sure do know what Im talking about!

The colthes are pretty much an androgenous uniform that ok to fit any body and their purpose . But lately the jewelry is always worn because the turquiose and silver ( especially the ring my father gave) is just more meaningfull as a marker and as a recognition to my father and his people - than keeping secrets and disguise who we are.
And turquiose is my all-time favorite color.[/colr]

Have many with no names here too. Names are not safe for some/many inside. Some learned it is ok to have a name and were excited to be able to pick one. I have one who likes having a name yet will change it if anyone speaks the name on the outside. That is confusing but just the way it is. I know this one is like comilian and I can sence who she/he is even when she changes her/his name and even sexual identity. I know that sounds strange but I've learned it is what it is and there was a reason at the time for it. Color idea is great maybe some of yours will agree to that even help with more ideas in how to do it.
Journaling is near to impossible with us too. Good to hear someone elses gets destroyed too. The one thing that lasted the longest was getting a sketch pad and it seemed to help cuz ones who had no words, or didn't know how to express in words or afraid of words could draw and those who did not feel safe writing on wordpad seemed to write in phrases or one words on it and color markers seemed to be helpful. Gone through a denial stage so it's been a while anything has been written or looked at or worked on. Have to go looking for the sketch pad. I'm sure it is in a safe place but where that is I have no idea at this point. Hope not babbling too much!

I read this post late last night and woke up singing...

She comes in colors ev'rywhere;
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

I think that's pretty cool.

I love waking up with music in my head!

Not that it's unusual...my head is like a radio, plays music all day long.

Thank you!
