thought I would add a book and website link for our new mothers here and of course every one else here.
The book is: Becoming the parent you want to be by Laura Davis and Janis Keyser. Many survivors know of Laura Davis's work through her many books among them - The Courage to Heal Text and workbook, Allies in Healing, I thought We'd never Speak again... In Becoming the parent you want to be Laura Davis talks about thier experiences with raising her children and what she has learned from experience, classes and so on. As does Janis Keyser. their parenting website is: http://www.becomingtheparent.com/all/hp.html |

The following is a copy of my post in Dissociative Dissorders message boards.
As some of you know this past 5 years I have been in therapy for Dissociative Identity Disorder and part of my therapy has been doing workbooks such as the book "Amongst Ourselves" and contacting professionals in the field. I posted a resource list here on the Dissociative Disorders message boards and on my blog - Me, Myself and I. Since posting this list I have had many questions regarding the authors and their book and asking if they have a website. Recently I contacted Tracy and Karen and they still do not have a website but have given me permission to release their email addresses for anyone with questions and comments. Dr. Tracy Alderman can be reached at - DrTracyA@aol.com Karen Marshall can be reached at - LadyKarenM@aol.com Thanks Karen and Tracy. ------- Dr.Tracy Alderman and Karen Marshall are the authors of the book "Amongst Ourselves". |
