It's been a big switching day. I get so confused. I don't know who is out. A new one showed up today. I get lost in reality and can't find my way out. Sometimes I can't find my way back in. This doesn't make any sense. I don't know where I am. I don't know who I am. I'm lost.

I personally found the more I allowed them to talk openly and the more I accepted them and loved them unconditionally.... the more they allowed me to have controlled over my own life. I never refused any one of them the right to be heard or to see what my world was like - most of the time they just wanted to watch and/ or played with the kids.

BTW - they (the alters) will not leave until they feel and know that you are safe with out them, they need to know that you are capable of living & dealing with life with out fear, pain or deep hurt.... they came as a means to protect you.

I know what you mean; I'm going through a similar thing myself. It gets frightening when things / feelings / perspectives switch so rapidly. My counsellor tells me to use grounding techniques - like my safe places - but that can be really hard to do when everything is changing so rapidly. Sometimes i find the best thing is just to go to bed. I hope things improve for you soon.
