What does it feel like, like in your head?

Also, what does this sound like to you?

I've lost my mind, in a sense. My mind has locked me out, like it's keeping something from me. My mind is completely numb. I can't think, I can't imagine anything. Everything that I see or hear goes in my head and just vanishes, I forget it instantly.

being co conscious is different for everyone. with those that I was co conscious with it was hearing the voices of my alters, feeling their pain, feeling their happiness, feeling their emotions,...

Examples -

i would hear an alter say "I want my dolly" or i would hear an alter whining, laughing, ....
I would feel happy because Sunny was feeling happy
I would feel like crying because Rainy was crying
I would have a headache because Ruby held the memory of getting hit aside the head,
I would feel the pain of being sexually abused because that was what the alter was sharing with me...

co consciousness means being aware of the alters
feeling what the alters are feeling
hearing what the alters are saying...

what does what you posted sound like.. any number of thousands and thousands of mental and physical health problems or it could be just the way you normally are...

only your treatment providers can say what this is for you..

in me those things were called many things depending upon any accompanying or lack of accompanying symptoms such as...

sleep deprivation (lack of sleep, over tired)
eating disorder/lack of food/poor diet
anemia
hallucinations/delusions/ catatonic /psychosis / psychotic
bipolar disorder
Multiple Sclerosis

I can go on and on what these same symptoms you posted were called in me...

my suggestion contact a treatment provider ie your medical doctor/physician, therapist, psychiatrist... they can tell you what it is for you and how to best treat it.

For me it sort of feels like I'm in the passenger seat in a car and I can see out the window, but I only have control over so many things, like the heat and the radio and my window.

I agree with LydiaB and amandalouise. I am becoming more co-con with Nina, so I usually hear her, feel her feelings toward what is happening, see from her point of view as well as mine, and communicate with her in my head (from time to time). When Nina is out, it is, as LydiaB said, like riding in the passenger side of a car. I can see what is happening and talk to and hear the "driver" (Nina), but I can't control what she does.

When someone else takes over, I have no idea who it is, why they've taken over, what they are thinking or saying, or where I might end up. It's like being kidnapped, blindfolded, and thrown in an abduction van. No matter how much I throw a fit and scream and cry, it makes no difference. They won't talk to me, or let me out.

Hopefully this is helpful to you, rather than just personal ramblings.... Good luck. Hugs
Cas

For me, being co-consciuos means not as many notes to write and knowing where you are and how you got to where you wanted to go. Knowing what "suzie" said to Dr. John even though you weren't the one going to actually see Dr. John.

Being co-conscious is knowing almost all things that everyone else knows inside regarding outside living things to me.

Being co-conscious to us means "I know if I look at that blinking traffic light, I will be instantly triggered. So that means to us get someone inside that doesn't have a problem with blinking lights. let them out and then ask kindly if you could continue being out" So for my system we all would agree being co-conscious is far better then being no conscious! Especially if your diagnosed with MPD or DID.

Hopes this helps you. Crew

Lydia B--

Yes, yes, YES! That is exactly what it feels like for me! What a gift to recognize myself(ves) in someone else OUTSIDE my head!
