w_i's dogs killed Deedee's cat, Kiki. The whole constellation is in chaos. Deedee doesn't understand why her kitty didn't wake up.
w_i is very upset, i'm trying to settle down the littles who keep crying and everyone is crying.
it's horrible

i don't feel strong right now.
i wish someone else could do this. we are all trying to work together. it's so sad.deedee can't understand why her kiki won't play and won't wake up. she watched the H bury her but now she wants the game to be over and wants kiki to come back and play. how do you explain to a 2-1/2 yr old that when something or some one dies that's it??? she's crying so much. so is willow. it's making my stomach hurt and my head hurt.
w_i is feeling so bad cuz it was her dogs that did it. she's so mad at them.

thats so sad.

I dont know what to say, except i agree with pet that it might just need time.

Can you get deedee talking or drawing about the kitty? maybe it would help her some.

I am sorry too. That must be so hard. Not sure how to help a little one through that kind of loss. I know honesty and listening. Petunia is right with letting the emotions come.

You can get through this Vicki. I know it's hard but you all are strong.

hugs to you all.

try explaining to Deedee that her Kiki went up to heaven and is playing with our Ricky bird and that she will see Kiki in the white fluffy clouds someday, it might make her happy to think of these nice things

what if you surfed the rainbow bridge?

thats a great site decorated to the animals who have left us.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Also, place, Rainbows bridge offers support forums and one on one councelling by volunteers to help you understand how children process the loss of a pet, and how adults do too.

Check out the site, its a big help.

I'm sorry. Be safe. I agree with Petunia that you all need to go through the pain, but it is a very hard thing to do.

...........so sorry about your kitty, gosh you must all be feeling so sad ..........and yes you're right littles don't understand the concept of forever. I have worked alot with childrens grief in RL and one of the most important things, is allowing the grieving process to take place, to let kids explore it all, to go through the process of saying goodbye via artwork, or speaking at a special gathering to celebrate the life lost etc or whatever it takes.... Most important thing for me, is to ask the littles, 'what do you think has happened', and follow that, then you can work at their level.

Thinking of you

((((((everyone)))))) for all your kind words and support.
I'll check out rainbow bridge. I found a similar place when our dog died 4 yrs ago.
Having much trouble with the littles. Deedee wants Kiki to come out of the ground and play now. She thinks we can wake her up again. She's waiting.
Willow who is between 6 and 8 is a bit more realizing that Kiki won't come back, but she has her cat, Tigr, so it's not so bad for her.
Vicki is so mad at God, again, and me, because of the dogs.
I'm feeling guilty because I wasn't there to stop them.
Prism lives in the now and is so connected to nature and the animals she is crying and is really feeling the pain of it all.
I'm trying to get things ready for my son's wedding this coming Sat. Oldest son and his wife are coming Thurs. Have so much to do and the constellation wants to go into shut down mode.....gotta keep it going.

Focusing on getting house in order---washing bed linens and cleaning---that's how we are dealing now. Hoping that we can let down guards at T appt tomorrow.
Just gotta keep going.....
