just when i think i've hit some kind of calm, predictable moment, have the first thought about relaxing my whatevers, something changes.... my whatevers start flashing "heads up" lights, short vacation...

an old part has popped back up and joined the party. the stutterer. would somebody please explain to me why my most functional parts are so challenged. Vinny curses to curl your hair, the kid is only 8, and now the very competant, but stuttering stutterer is back in my regular mix.

I wish I had one who could just plain pass out there in the real world as a non descript normal person sometimes, ya know?

I am so sorry Hillbunny...sending comforting thoughts your way....just some thought fodder for the blend...normal and world contradict each other..me(s) think...ain't noth'n normal on this blue marble...but again, understand just wanting to blend in with everyone else..and not feel sooo..apart of parts..and the challenges they present to the outside enviroment..rough enough inside..

take care Hillbunny.....know that you(s) are in our thought(s) as you struggle with words..

shaking up the blend Hello Hillbunny

Life can be such a challenge, can't it? My youngster pops up at some interesting times, and several times at work which didn't work out too well. I've been told that when someone surfaces, it's because they are looking to be heard, they have something that is bothering them and need a way to express it.

I have discovered, and it's not easy to do by any means, that finding a way for them to express themselves, asking them the general questions "what are you afraid of" helps in settling down the chaos.

I have several journals that I use for such a purpose and a little pencil bag with markers, crayons, and a grown up / sensible pen that I use when the chaotic popping up starts. I find it helpful but everyone is different and at different stages of therapy and understanding.

Sometimes, no matter what I do, I have no control over anything and no memory of what happens - I guess it's just the stupid part of DID. Very frustrating and confusing and hurtful and frustrating and maddening and UGH!!!!!!

Hugs,
Anne

Has something upsetting happened recently? I don't know how to help you.

I do know that the head injury made me stutter and I was so frustrated when it happened. People looked at me like I was even stranger than I am.

Please know that you are cared about, dear Bunny.

hey gyz, i was not upset, just dismayed...... this part is functional therefore welcome. it just shakes my head that i don't have anybody adult female AND funtional in here.

believe me, i don't have a prayer of passing....... as anything anybody regards as normal....... sigh.......

this year and a half of typing on this machine has given a regular place for parts to sneak their voice out where i can see it. i've done some pretty nice integrating of function..... i must assume "the stutterers" skills are needed for this next chapter of our story.

i guess i was whining a little..... i've shook it off now. thanks for being nice to me.

Hey {{{{{{{{{{bunnybabe}}}}}}}}}} shaking up the blend

We found a lot of parts we thought were gone away after we found this place. shaking up the blend shaking up the blend shaking up the blend

Now we are inclined to think none of the parts ever really go away, they just fall silent for a while. shaking up the blend shaking up the blend

Good on you for finding a functional part to cope with the now shaking up the blend shaking up the blend shaking up the blend

A stutter is a mere inconvenience, compared to turning into Seven or Eight as copers.
