I took a break from therapy for the last two months. It was getting difficult to pay for and I started working again. When I work I can not be popping in and out. I was not as diciplined while at therapy. That was another thing that started to weigh on my brain. Sinse therapy I had started to switch without much thought. I hit a bird with my car and crumpled. Not my usual as an adult. I don't know what to make of it. I thought I would be back to therapy in September but I don't think so. Although some of my parts are not happy with that idea so I will have to see. I haven't come to terms that this is going to get harder before it becomes freeing. I want to free my mind from the pain. But I think I will have to feel the pain and that seems insurmountable. I have tried to practice to not over think things but I get stuck when it comes to emotional pain. I fear it will consume me.

Claritytoo, Did you feel therapy was helping before you took a break? If you felt it helped even a little, you should continue.

adding on to the previous response, can you talk to your T about your finincial situation if paying becomes an issue again? maybe you can even arrange to have a session once a month or that so that you will still be continuing to work on things but at the same time may be able to still work? thinking of you

Yes therapy was helping. I am better for haven gone. I think I am at a point where I am going to have to remember and that may be why I have taken the break. Thank for the advice. I will give it all a lot of thought.

My t has been very good about giving me time to pay my co pays. The preasure is from me. I don't like not being able to pay. I was thinking I might go back twice a week every other week. That will help with the costs. Thanks

I am glad that your T lets you pay when you can try not to be too hard on yourself, I know its hard (I am the same when it comes to money) but if you think about it.. there's not much you can do so why not allow those that are willing to help you do just that? thinking of you
