we spent a week in the hospital. It was a better experience than last yr. but the pdoc we had said DID didn't exist and so we couldn't talk about DID specifically.
What was funny was the last day I asked him how he would dx me if I hadn't already come in with a dx. he said that with my "cluster of symptoms" he could only ddx me as a NOS for depression, borderline, and anxiety....but when I asked how he "saw" me he said "well, you present an together front which is articulate, intelligent and well read but you can quickly change your mood and can become anxious and cry in the next minute". He knows he was observing switching, but couldn't admit it.....quite strange...
We are working at staying safe as we can right now. Some insiders wonder if coming home was a good idea.....
Still need support.

i have had the same experience. i was dx with borderline.it sucks. as well as mood swings. i think some docs dont know DID from BPD which makes things worse even if you do have both they should also recognized DID.anyways i hate hospitals because they dont know what they are doing in there and i wonder sometimes if anyone in this would that works with the mentally ill know what they are doing.
