I requested that they release Mom from the hospital today and let me bring her home. They were unable to do anything more for her there, and she is more comfortable here, even eating a bit and not throwing up like she was doing there at the hospital. I can tell she's more comfortable here.
I will try not to burden or rely too heavily on my PC friends, but it really does feel like family here.
Love to all of you,
Patty

It's so good you could bring her home where she's more comforatable. Will you have caretakers come in to help you?

How are you doing?

Please share as much as you want to here. We're glad to listen and support you!

Glad you brought mom home with you.

Please let us know what help you're receiving. Hope you take advantage of all that you can. I've been where you are now. Believe me, you'll need all that help!

Patty, don't shut down emotionally. I did. It's just worse in the end. Talk it out, what you feel you can with her and certainly all you can with us.

You're not alone.

You are doing so much for your mom Patty. Don't stop doing for yourself too. PC is here for you whenever you need us and for whatever you need in support. Take the time each day for you to do for you too.

I've cared for my mom when she was terminal also. It's so easy to get lost in their needs and forgo your own. But I can say from experience that this is not the way to go.

Take advantage of hospice whenever possible. Give yourself some much deserved and needed time away for YOU. Let others help when they can, there is no shame in allowing others to help.

If you ever feel the need, feel free to pm me about anything at all. I'll be happy to be a strong shoulder for you I brought Mom home from the hospital today...

Sending you and mom my prayers and support.

I brought Mom home from the hospital today...

Yeah, you can come to us anytime. We are happy to have you here, and hopefully your mom improves more being at home with you (I'm sure she will!).
