I've been doing casual reading/studying of alter types and came up on a reading that said that there is an alter that denies DID in a system.

I have one of those. It came out last night and angrily and surely said we're just making this up and we were faking on the website and ourselves and that we aren't living in this fantasy world anymore and that we are getting it together and were not wasting anymore time on this b.s. Then he proceeded to delete all the apps and websites. He was so forceful and strong we were all locked up. Everyone quit talking, so he used that to show that there really isn't anyone else here. He was pretty damn convincing!

It was scary, and we thought he was taking total control and we were locked down for God knows how long. We got out after he went to sleep last night. I don't think we'll be seeing him anytime soon. We got a jail in here too!

Have y'all experienced anything like that before?

with me I didnt have any alters that denied the DID. in my alters minds to deny the disorder would have been denying their own existence. menaing if rainy denied having DID she would be denying that she herself existed, that she was not there at all. with me it was actually the other way around I (amanda the body person diagnosed with DID) was the one that was trying to deny having DID during my very short denial phase. my alters knew who they were, what their jobs, purposes and reasons for being was so to deny having DID would be denying their own existence in their minds.

I have two insidrs like this. They are a real pain to deal with. I love it when they try to tell my T (an expert in DID) that they dont have DID. LOL. It always make for interesting arguments between them, beginning with my t yelling "stop trying to ******** me! youre as split into pieces as they come!"

Thinking about it, I think we ran into him 32 years ago when he said that this was just all in my head and slammed the door shut on it. And we listened. Hmmm

Yep, we definitely had one of those. She believed she was the only 'real one' and that all of us were figments of her imagination. She used to get so upset and distraught about it. She hated herself for losing control and 'pretending to be all those others'. When she fronted in therapy she would spend all her time trying to convince the t she was the only one, and when she was out at home she spent all her time destroying any evidence she found of others. She was a very sad and tortured figure really. Poor soul!

Luce, you write in past tense. Is this alter gone?

In my experience, being at the beginning of the acknowledgement of the DID, certain parts don't want this to be happening. So they're like, "this is ****. This cannot be real."

I found an earlier post that showed that this wasn't the first time he was out these past few weeks. I triggered him when one night I was feeling low and wanted all this to go away and that it wasn't real, then it went nutz after that.

I suppose so. DID isn't really an issue for me anymore, although I wouldn't go so far as to say I am fully 'integrated'.

I agree with you. An alter who denies having DID is also denying their own existence! It can happen whatsoever, Allie sometimes shows denial symptoms - in fact, Allie originally appeared as a "placeholder" onto which someone held when someone didn't know who they were, but now she's got her own personality and is one of the more problematic alters due to her bipolar disorder.
