mine would be a cross between a candy land (everything you touch is candy), everything you taste in candy, everything you smell is candy, their'd be a castle with a gummy throne, jellybean servants and a river of dr pepper

but i'd also have it so that once a day you get 1 wish. if you wanttt a pet, or you want a food that does not exist, you can have it (even creating your own stuff)

do you like rock music?

I do like rock music! And a true Candy Land would be yummie. Reminds me of the Candy Kingdom in Adventure time.

Favorite part of the 1994 Stargate movie was the idea of ancient aliens and space travel. The thought of space worms/snakes that can take over your body is creepy. Sadly it also reminds me of how it isn't just powerful aliens that control other people because they have the power to do so and keeping them illiterate so that they can't challenge leadership or make advancements of their own.

My favorite instrument is the bass both guitar and double. Wish I could play one or the other maybe it is something I should try.

If you could have any animal as a pet what would it be?

I've been meaning to watch adventure time.

i've heard good things about it.

as for pets, well, I think if it was left up to the littles, they would get a kangaroo

if it were left up to me, lion or dinosaur.

how are you at handling the truth

I'm somewhere in the continuum of dissociation, not really sure where that is. That's ok with me.

What has it taught me?

It's taught me that my inner self loved me enough to protect me and shield me from what I could not handle or deal with in the moment that it happened. For that, I am very grateful. My hope also is that every part of me, that took care of me than, can find find value and purpose now. All are valued and have a purpose.

It is icy and cold here. What is your favorite thing to do when it's like that where you are?

No, not at all. A week full of mock exams. Another week full of mock exams next week. Then real exams the week after that.
In amongst the exams I have months and months and months of work to write up--- all the stuff I should have been able to do this year, but couldn't because of PTSD and work bullying and family trauma and dissociation--- and it needs to be completed within 4 weeks. I am talking hundreds of hours of paperwork. Thick folders full of work that needs to be done by me. In six weeks. Outside of 9 - 5 classes six days a week. While sitting exams that must e passed.

AND, joy of joys, if I *don't* manage to get it done, if I don't manage to pass the exams and write up all that stuff to an acceptable standard do you know what happens?
1. I have to pay work back 20 thousand dollars
2. I don't get the work promotion and much needed pay rise
3. Paying back money and no pay rise means I will no longer be able to afford my rent.

So yeah... 2017 has been a bit of a ***** so far, tbh.

The crazy weather!! Below freezing all day yesterday with an ice event the day before. It's is supposed to be in the 70s by the end of the week. Flip flops or boots!??

Where would you want to live if you could live anywhere?

I don't know. There is nowhere really where I would like to live. It seems hard to think of that.

Are you happy where you are?

Back when I had a boat or three (Jet ski, fish and ski, and canoe) I loved going fishing. I used to trot-line and jug fish too. Going out late at night or before the sun peaked above the eastern horizon on a creek or river or out on a lake was fun and relaxing to me. Then catching a few fish for lunch or dinner was always nice. Other times I would fish from the shore or out of the canoe just for fun while drinking a couple of beers. Sigh... I wish I could still do that from time to time.

Do you like to go camping?

Oh man!! That sounds like a blast. We used to go camping on a sand bar on the Pearl River. We would set up our tent, build a fire and jug fish. Isn't it fun!!

We were actually there one weekend and a cold front came through. We rode out a tornado in a tent. questions: dissociative disorders version. Wouldn't want to do that again. I can say it was an adventure though!!

I liked camping then. My idea of camping now would be in an amazing camper with electricity. I guess I've whimped out.

It's ok though. Many memories of muddy trail rides on the 4wheeler and moon lit nights.

Would you like to go on a cruise?

Back when I was more together I loved going camping. Used to camp at several state parks in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia. Most of them were near rivers or lakes so bonus points.

We started with tents and worked our way up to a popup camper. Never had to experience a tornado in a tent but I did experience a tree toppling near the camper when a pop up thunderstorm came with some +50mph winds.

Mud riding omg loved it!

Never been on a cruise but if I could get my anxiety in check I definitely would like to go on a cruise. I did however work a summer on a fishing boat out of Los Angeles a few summers ago and that was fun but smelly work.

If you had the time and resources to learn another language what language would you learn?

Latin. I've always wanted to learn Latin. Our English language, I believe, is based in it. I may be wrong. It still intrigues me because there is more meaning to words than we know if you know the base of where they come from.

That's just me. I love words and I know they carry much weight.

So, if you do decide to go on a cruise, where would your destination be?

I started to learn Latin several times but I have a problem with finishing things. English comes from a mix of Latin and really old German fyi.

I know it isn't very adventurous considering all the cruise options out there but I would like to take a cruise up the west coast from San Diego up to Alaska. Another option would be a cruise in the Mediterranean if I felt more adventurous.

amo, amas, amat, amamus, amatus, amant? Summin' like that? I tuned out of latin class when they started talking about flying golden sheep. Never was one for fairy tales.

Hot on the heels of that I would like to say that my very most favorite method of transportation is flying (like a bird).

Oh my, aren't we feeling a little contradictory this evening.

What animal would you most like to be and why?

because they are the only other animals as inteligent as humans are, and that they sing beautifully(and do cool tricks in the water!)
on a related subject...
have you ever wished you could swap boddies with another animal- and more to the point, have you ever wished you were just born an animal and skip all this human crap.

No. I would definitely not want to be an animal. Animals are at the mercy of someone to care for them or the mercy of the environment where they are. It's worth sorting out the human crap, to me, than the imagined thought of having no control over the environment you find yourself born in.

Out of curiosity, is there an animal, that you think fits into that category? Meaning, not being at the mercy of a caretaker or the environment it is born in?

I dunno.... I mean human beings are initially at the mercy of a caretaker and the environment they are born into...
some young animals are born that way too.. but then develop the independence and adult characteristics of their species. I don't see animals and humans as being all that different, except for the fact that human beings have the consciousness to *understand* when they've been jipped.

I would like to be a bird. Yes, they are initially at the mercy of caretakers. But then the develop independence through flight. they can build their own nests. They can forage for their own food. They can find a mate.
they don't have any social norms to conform to. They don't have to be 'good enough'. They just have to have the skills to survive, and then the rest of the time is up to them.
And... the good bit... do you know what birds do once their immediate needs for survival are taken care of? ?? They play. In the air. They soar and dip and dive for the sheer pleasure of it.
I would like to be a bird.
Thanks for this!
