the way psych central works is it goes according to mental illness and mental problems... each of the boards are labeled with a mental disorder. problems associated with those mental disorders get posted in those places.

example this board is called dissociative disorders. anything that has to do with dissociating and dissociation disorders get posted here in this board.

there are two other boards here in dissociation disorders one is for when insiders are feeling the regular dissociation board is too triggering they can take a break and go to the garden and just post happy, not triggering things. or they can go to the teen insiders board and post about happy teen ager stuff to get a break from the regular dissociation board that has triggering not good things on it.

general ....problems.... go in the regular board. the other two boards are so that the alters when they are feeling triggered by the regular board they have a place to take a break and have a bit of fun, relaxation time.

that said the other two boards are not so active because having DID is not so fun. many people do not have alters who's sense of agency is to have fun.. you might say thats a rare thing. it happens just that not everyone has alters that can do that. most times alters are dealing with the hard stuff that the person they live inside of cant handle.

my point is dont be offended if you find going into the garden and teen area its not busy, bustling and you might not get replies right away. its just for some enjoyment, relaxation time. I go there a lot to read when Im feeling triggered but I dont post there because my alters have all been integrated/merged together with me so my alters cant post having a relaxing time in the cave and other threads. but the threads really do help in those boards to help calm and relax one self.

thanks for clarifying this

i always thought that the garden was just for littles, and teen alters garden was, well, just for the teen alters (every time i've seen a post in either, that's the impression i got)

but thanks for the extra info

no the garden isnt ....only ..... for littles...
the garden description says its "not necessarily for littles"

and yes the teen age board is for teen aged alters\ teen aged alter issues to post in

also be aware for those wondering why these two boards arent so active and why you may not get many replies in those boards. its kind of hard even if you do have alters that will fit in with those boards because DID is a dissociative disorder. for example for me coming to psych central isnt that triggering for me (otherwise I wouldnt be coming here) a person doesnt ...choose .... to be dissociated one moment and not the next. its something that happens to a person with dissociative problems. there is no sure way of knowing ok at 10 am on friday morning Im going to be a teen aged alter and post on the teen aged board, kind of thing. dissociation problems are not that predictable, it happens when you least expect it and not always in the situaitons you would have liked it to happen or not happen.

my point even when a person has teen aged or other alters its still a rare thing for all the I's to be dotted and the T's to be crossed that will enable many to use those boards in an altered state of mind, I go by if there's something I need help with right away post on the regular board,

if its a light easy, non triggering, and doesnt matter if anyone answers my threads \ questions or not, just relaxing posting to post in the garden or teens board.
