Hey! I'm new here! If anybody has anything they can share, I'm wondering about any suggestions to a debilitating condition; as of now my brain is blank and my body is vibrating. I have near constant dissociative states(depersonalization/derealization). I have received frequent therapy, with a great therapist, but I am not seeing any real change in my mental state.
I am having serious issues with life. I like my boss, and fellow employees, but the workload is a titanic amount for my brain to process. Its a simple job, but here is a list of symptoms: 1) Fugue statues- During the day my mind is overwhelmed with constant racing thoughts, mood swings, confusion as if my brain is saturated with a goo that numbs me and slows to a crawl any brain waves, and this applies to everything except warp speed internal activity. I don't remember what happens in daylight hours, EVER. The day is an eerie blur that I can only decipher based on keeping a log while in this dynamic state. This is why I flunked out in university, my mind is a violent whirlwind and I don't remember much of my life occurring, and I am too distract-able and unbeknownst to consequence to be truly disturbed by this. 2) Mental slowness- I can't think clearly, and when given even the simplest of responsibilities, I feel as if I'm wandering aimlessly/ walking in circles and cannot recognize that the outside world is an active environment (my senses don't even register it). Despite having an average iq with some very high scores in certain areas, throughout the entirety of my childhood to current life (20), people have been concerned that I may really be mentally "dim". This has cost me a great job already! 3)Physical symptoms- These include: 1) A "levitating" feeling, as if my head is floating by itself. 2) Buzzing- it feels like my brain is actually buzzing, like a more mild version of a washer shaking during a cycle, or a frayed wire humming. 3) jaw clenching. 4.) Racing heart. 5.) shortness of breath. 6.) Blurred vision. (These are not in order of intensity). Any help would be VERY appreciated!!

what we can tell you is what these things are called in ourselves.... in .....me..... this is called psychosis, MS (multiple Sclerosis a physical health disease/disorder) and medication side effects. I dont know about canada (your location designated in your profile) but here in america dissociative fugue is now a specifier where when people have dissociative amnesia the treatment provider has to state on the files if the person has times when they have wandered or traveled while going through dissociative amnesia episodes. in short dissociative fugue here isnt when a person cant remember things. its actual physically traveling around.... example its labeled a dissociative problem here when the problem is due to being triggered by something... example I was witness to a domestic violence situation where someone died in the ER. this caused me to have my dissociation symptoms of feeling numb, spaced out and disconnected. because I was dissociated after this traumatic event I did not remember traveling from the ER, to the police station and then home. here dissociative amnesia with a specifier of dissociative fugue does not include having racing thoughts, buzzing, saturation of goo....and other things like this that you posted where my location calls psychosis. (having hallucinations of things that others cant see or hear) my suggestion is if you really want to know what is going on with in you, you will need to talk to your own treatment providers. |

Unfortunately, I'm just a random person that's clicking around the site at 2am. I really wish I could offer you some appropriate advice and suggestions, but I have no experience in this realm whatsoever :/
However! If no one else replies or contacts you (or if you just want to talk), I don't mind helping you look up different conditions/treatments if you think it would help. I apologize for not really having anything better to offer ;-; I wish you the best! Hopefully you can find something that works for you ![]() |

![]() Im sorry that this is how it is for you.... Have you seen a MD or PDoc for any of these symptoms or are taking meds? I'm no doctor nor is this medical advise....some of what you described sounds like it can be from anxiety or any other forms of MI....and of course is common in trauma based conditions like ptsd to dp/dr. I know anxiety, sensory overload, or luck triggers dp/dr with me. I hope this site helps, or at least a place to discuss conditions, symptoms, and treatment. It has helped me come to terms with myself and helped make me feel not so alone. ![]() |

I truly hope you're able to get to sleep soon. I hope that nothing's troubling you & it's keeping you up >.< If you like tea, chamomile is great for relaxing and can also be used as a sleep aid. My mom and brother also used to use melatonin as well, but I never tried it. I dunno if that info will help you, but I just wanted to toss it out there. If you ever want to chat, don't be afraid to message me. I appreciate your kindness in checking up on my sleeping habits lol I hope to hear that you've gotten a good night's sleep sometime soon ♥ |
