Nope. I have however met someone else with DID.

How long have you been in treatment for your dissociative disorder?

Yes. It's something I struggle with a lot.

Have you ever read any books on trauma or dissociative disorders?

at just-prompt-iguess, I don't think i've ever had the feeling of making it up.

i've had the feeling of.. well, i'm doing well now- so I guess I never had it in the first place, but then the sad truth is that it comes back and you realise well, this is your life, and yes, you do have it.

at the dragon, the closest i've read is a book called damaged, which is about an english foster carer who looked after a child with DID.

what is 1 thing that all your system likes and can agree on (it can be anything)

Ice cream! Everyone likes it. Sometimes some of those inside imagine they hold their own cup of ice cream, identical, and they take bites with me. It's a way we can experience it all at once, without switching. Let me tell you that is one intense cup of ice cream! Especially with everyone commenting about their own impressions of it

Do you enjoy exercising, and does it help you feel better?

I hate exercising for the sake of exercising but love playing some sports and doing martial arts. It does however usually help me feel better.

Do you have an item that's comforting to you that you bring everywhere?

I don't take him everywhere, but I do have a teddy bear that I got from my t that I often sleep with.

Do you prefer dogs or cats? Or something else, I suppose.

I have 4 cats and a snake....I love cats and dogs just as much, but a dog isn't practical in my life right now.

Do you find it hard to focus on watching a movie/TV show without zoning out?

depends on the movie/ show

if it's short, I can usually watch it in 1 sitting.

if it's a longer movie/ show, I usually have to watch it over a few days

regardless though, I always seem to forget what happens (even if I love what i'm watching, I forget what's going on)
an embarrassing thing, I love the lion king (best movie ever in my opinion), but can't describe it to others

do you read, and if so, what are you reading now?

I can't watch stuff either, I just forget

Which brings me to S S's question-- I am currently reading Ulysses (Joyce) A Hundred Years of Solitude (Marquez) and some Anais Nin diaries. I love to read and I always have a pile going at once. I thought Ulysses would be torture but it's wonderful.

What color is the wall in your bedroom?

I don't like singing, but one of us can, I think, since I've heard some people talk about it a whole lot

Wether THEYRE good at it or can at all is the question

Question: How do you relax?

the honest answer is, I don't.

I can't actually remember the last time I relaxed, and felt at peace with the world

of course, their's things I enjoy- such as music and watching tv, playing trivia, hugging my stuffies, looking at pictures on my wall, but relax?

I can't remember the last time I did that. my brain is always doing something- which makes relaxing and sleeping extremely hard.

do you like your current place you are living?. why or why not

I love my apartment. My old apartment burned down a few months ago and I was homeless for a few weeks while the city was making the decision about whether or not the building could be stabilized and repaired for us to live in again, and then they decided it couldn't be, and I given only two days to salvage my things and find a new place. But I got lucky and found something just down the street. It's the first place I have ever felt safe in, I think because of the relief of having a home again. I put plants everywhere and I'm trying to decorate it, I never decorated an apartment I was in before so it must be special.

I'm still afraid though that I won't be able to pay for it and they'll evict me. I'm afraid of this every day.

What is your favorite season? Why?

winter.

1. I am more stable in the winter months

2. it never gets too hot

3. no bugs

4. christmas/ halloween, which I do actually like in some ways

5. darker evenings which help my agoraphobia.

how many diagnoses (including your diagnoses of D.I.D) do you have?

Well, there's some debate on whether DID is an exclusive diagnoses, but if not - PTSD and depression.

What's your favourite thing to cook for yourself?

In the US, toad in the hole is a piece of toast with the center cut out and an egg fried in the middle. i googled the sausage thing and I don't think we have anything like it... looks so delicious.... the closest thing we have would be pig in a blanket, which is a sausage wrapped in dough and baked.

A really bad pun

Oh, a question.....

When your therapist meets a new alter/part/etc, how do you feel about it?

yes, it is really delicious!. I don't see any reason why you couldn't try it

just buy some sausages, some stuff to make the batter, and away you go.

(I can post the best recipie if you decide to try it!)

and,

a man walks in to a bar. outch.

so bad it's good...?

now to the question.. it depends who it is.

a lot of people (therapists included), get a little freaked out when they meet natalie, because she is so dominant and controlling.

if it's a little, like alicia or bethany, I tend to be okay with it

I guess eventually you're gonna meet them all, so should I be worried?

I don't know.

question: do any of your alters have goals and aspirations?, (career or otherwise)
Thanks for this!

Blue wants friends of her own. Announced it to me today upon taking over. Teased me and told me not to interfere as she went to a social event I go to weekly. I was quite nervous about what she might do. But turns out she was just getting a rise out of me--her behavior was quite friendly and passable. She resents me for being afraid of her.
Other than that, not that I know of. Sire just wants to stop hurting. Well, he also wants to write alongside me. I write fiction as a hobby.

Are there any character qualities you admire in your others? (Bunny, for instance, is so honest, cheerful, and she loves people easily. She also feels no pain, which helps. I used to be afraid of her, too.)

i'd say I have a few

alicia is such a cute kid, an always so happy and full of energy- and always so inosent to big stuff that maybe going on (i'm sure if she was my outside kid, she'd be a joy)

leanne and vivian are so inteligent. it's good they know so much about so many diffrent topics (well, vivian mainly history, but leanne anything)

and yolanda speaks spanish!. I personally always wanted to learn italian, so I think it's cool she knows another language

how many littles do you have?

2 that I know of.

What's the most expensive thing someone else has bought, or that you have bought during a dissociative episode?
