Doesn't it seem like a good idea for people to post those extremely triggering posts to a different forum ?

Some members are not able to ignore the posts with the trigger icon triggering posts they want to help, you understand, so they read past the trigger icon, especially for friends.

we know it's strictly within the guidelines kd triggering posts
but it seems like a terrible idea triggering posts triggering posts

No, there is no limit about posting triggering posts in the DD forum. I mean, one could read a triggering post anywhere on the forum. It's really the icon that needs to be heeded in this type of situation, not so much the forum.

I think the answer to those that can't heed icons at times would be to place others on ignore when they have concerns so the posts can't be read if the icon can't be heeded.

That's double coverage there.

The guidelines on this are clear, and may not work in every situation for every member, but work generally and the best for all needs of the community members as a whole.

So, first I would suggest heeding the icon. If it can't be heeded for some reason, then going and placing members on ignore for a time might be the best option...just till we're in better places to be able to manage reading.

Just as members expect to read what's within the guidelines, members also expect to be able to post within them.

Hope that helps, hon.

It was my understanding that the Garden was created just for this reason: so that those with DID could have a safe place to go, without any triggering posting?

Take care of yourselves... triggering posts

Thank you (((((((( sky ))))))))))

Yes, you're exactly right. It was created as an ALWAYS SAFE PLACE, and for this exact reason.

Maybe the bigs then can heed the icon. If not, ignore can be used so there's no surprises there?

Good luck, hon.
