So of my alters... absolutely "freak" over Christmas... the anxiety level is sooooo high.. "it is the end of the world.. says one"...

I don't know if this is because.. it is near the end of one year... and beginning of another.. but Yazza....you know..

How do you comfort your "littles"...

ok.. I relented.. after years... and my 5 year has a stuffed monkey.. a big one..

and my 8 year old has a stuffed pig...

what other "settling activities" can I give them???

Please.. even if not DID... I would appreciate suggestions..

I am very, very careful to not watch Christmas stuff on TV.. cause they freak... scared.. walk the floor... ya know.. type stuff...

sooooooooooo HELP!!!!

Do they like milk shakes? Ice cream sundaes with chocolate sprinkles?

When I lived in the Pacific Northwest, I used to drive between Spokane and Portland, and would stop in Pasco to get a "black and white." That was a sundae of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate ice cream with a creamy white sauce. It used to settle me down!

i dunno, free... having a time, m'self. i felt myself switching today, each one at a different trigger so there were layers and me trying to keep pace in the store.

things have been ending up everywhere - milk in the cupbord, refrigerated-supplements in the drawer... i switched in session with this new T, too. it's been quite a week. I am sooooooooooo looking forward to January.

Well, I'm hesistant to offer any suggestions since I've only had experiences with youngesters in school (and kids of friends) but:

Colouring books? Paints? Could get a bit messy, but I know painting calms me down!
Maybe making a snowman or a snow fort? I don't know if that's really Christmassy, but it sure is fun!
Watching Disney movies! Best thing ever!
Easy puzzles?

I'm sorry that Christmas is so hard on you.
