Help!!!! I have no idae what is going on, but all i know i feel like i am floating. like i not really inn my boby, well i am... but not hard to explain..... spacing out/// and befor u as no i not high |

*eachoes what wanttoheal said* I don't like this kind of feeling when it happens to me. You will come back, remember that. Try to relax as best you can, do some stuff you enjoy. Things are hard for you now, try to separate yourself from your problems, instead focusing on something you enjoy so you can feel safe to "come back" to full reality... sending hugs ~turquoisesea

Try some deep breathing. Maybe you feel so spacey because part of you is exhausted. Can you have a nap? Please bring this up with your T or Pdoc next time you see them. Possum |

I have slept most of the day cuz of my damn Topamax (see post in drug questions)... or maybe it was cuz of depression AND Topamax... idk

Manda, it is probably happening when you have feelings which are too difficult to deal with so you dissociate like this.......

I think more than anything, I have been angry... absolutely fed up. I am sick of living with my in-laws and I don't see an end in sight.

that would do it right there, what do you do to deal with your anger? suppressed anger is probably majorly contributing to all this... ![]() so how have you been dealing with the anger?

((((((((((((manda)))))))))))))) sending you hugs!! Remember that this could very well be another way of coping with living with them. As was echoed earlier, you may have feelings that are just too big to cope with. If your husband is gone much the Reserves and work, you are left alone, somewhere that you hate, you don't fit in and this is really, really starting to affect you. What's the status on getting a therapist--I know last time I talked to you, you didn't have one.

I dissociate a LOT more when I am anxious. I think that if that is a coping mechanism that we use, big, hard feelings like anxiety, fear, anger, sadness, can cause us to just kind of "leave". i hope you feel better ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hmmm.... this is soooo weird, earlier today, I was seemed to "come back myself" things made sense again...
it felt like something literally "clicked" in my head I remembered things, etc and then a few hours later without warning I started to floating away and I suddenly had to start checking my feet to make sure they were still on the floor!!!! ![]() And now my thoughts are fuzzy again. Everything is hazy. Sounds are muffled. FEELS SURREAL!!! ![]() |

CAN YOU TRY "TALKING TO YOUR HEAD"? THE MORE I TRY TO INTERACT WITH MY PARTS THE LESS SCAREY IT IS. MAYBE YOU CAN TRY TO ACCEPT THE FLOATY FEELINGS FOR NOW AND LEARN SOME GROUNDING TECHNIQUES FOR WHEN YOU NEED YOUR FEET ON THE FLOOR. FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN IS NATURAL, BUT TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO ACCEPT SOME THINGS MIGHT EASE YOUR TENSION A LOT. YOU ARE GOING TO BE OK, ONE LAST THOUGHT, MAYBE YOU NEED TO FIND SOME PILLOWS TO PUNCH OR SOMETHING TO PHYSICALLY EXPRESS ANGER (ALONE AND AWAY FROM IN-LAWS OF COURSE). I have no idea what is going on but today it's like I keep coming on going.
Like one second I'll be fine and the next I'll just start floating away then after a little while I'll, without really noticing it... BEAM!!! I'm back in my body. But, then, in a few minutes, without warning, I notice I am waaay outside my body away... like right now I am floating so high it's not funny I don't even know if I'm making sense. |
