Its really hard right now to contain the thoughts of self harm that keep on bombarding my head. They just don't stop, let up or just go away.

I have DID yes and wonder if its an alter that is playing up?

Regardless of who it is I just don't feel safe. Hospital may be an option but its not 100% safe there either as I am always taking my brain with me. Grrrrr.

This morning when I was half asleep and half awake I got this yukky picture in my head. Isn't any place safe?

I am seeing my shrink again tomorrow and will see what he thinks.

Its just
Yukky Yukky Yukky.

I have an alter who want to hurt us, and she will do all sorts of stupid stuff to harm us. It's really hard to deal with. I'm sorry you are going through that.

I hope your T can help you tomorrow
Thanks for this!

Possum, does distraction work for you? Talk to someone, call a crisis line just to purge your emotions? That's what works best for me, when i really have to.
I hope you can stay safe and hang on until you see your doctor. I'll be sitting with you in my heart.

Try and do something self soothing for yourself. Maybe a bubble bath, relaxing music with some candles, or a walk outdoors, if weather permits. You could also give yourself a massage...! I do this sometimes and it helps to calm me. I just get out my favorite lotion and while I am rubbing it in I literally just massage my muscles. It's really nice for feet too.

I know these feelings and emotions are difficult to experience. Just hang in there...K. Tomorrow's not to far off!!

Dear treehouse, Miri, Manda and Ely,

Thank you for responding and your helpful suggestions. Thank you for your thoughts I did see my shrink today and am now going into hospital tomorrow for as long as it takes. (or as little) Even now, though I am not there yet, I feel a sense of relief. The hospital is a small one and doesn't cater for DID but I have been in there before and know how things work.

It will give me some respite from the world and help me to toddle along a bit further. It will also help me refocus.

Take care
