I am going on a healthy diet because every time I eat junk, fatty, meat foods I feel sick. Also now I like eating salads and drinking milk. I'm giving up chips, chocolates, pizza, coke. Also the stuff which is not so good. A healthy diet doesn't have to be boring and hard work you just need to cut down abit of the unhealthy foods.

yah. you know what my favorite healthy food is? stir fry. you put the veggies you like and the (lean) meats or tofu in it and it's good for you, and you can differ it a lot so you don't get too sick of it. there are some neat sauces you can use to spruce it up too.

that's a good choice! ^^ support groups can help, and don't get mad at yourself if you slip up, and don't deprive yourself of everything. balance is key. ^_^ good luck!

oh, i think there's a healthy eating group in the health threads, so you should tune in there.

Miss_A,

Glad you are finding healthy eating to be a joy. There are many good foods that are healthy & enjoyable.....What little food I do eat, I try to make it healthy....must be working because the blood tests keep coming back within normal even though I am over 10 lbs underweight...guess I can fake out the tests.....& be thin & healthy...not a bad combination.

Like you, I feel sick when the grease, sugar, & unhealthy foods hit, but then again have been having problems with just feeling sick that way most of the time. I have gotten to the point when I have a craving not to deprive myself of that joy however. I usually regret it afterwards but enjoy it during the time. When those foods became a habbit was when the weight gain hit....when I didn't eat at all was when the weight loss was way to much. There is that happy inbetween with the good healthy foods that can be enjoyed & thus a healthy body.

Great you found what works,
Debbie
