I know just how you feel. I'm trying to go horseriding more as it's a form of exercise I actually enjoy - is there any type of exercise you do/ could do to help shift a few lbs whilst boosting your mood with some feelgood endorphins? I plan to start cycling again, too, but I haven't got the motivation right now. I manage a couple of days at a time eating healthily, but then I tend to fall off the wagon - are you managing to eat healthy?
We just gotta keep trying eh? Rootin for ya

Thanks just some girl, it feels like it's a constant struggle. I eat healthy during the week and watch that I don't overeat on the weekends, it can be difficult because of the social element, and always having functions to go to e.t.c. however, in terms of my exercise routine, I am particularly hard on myself, I do spinning / cycling twice a week, run about +-4 km twice a week (trying to increase it to 10km) and yoga once a week, but still I get up in the morning and my clothes continue to feel tighter, I have NEVER been in this position, if I had been doing this a year ago, I would be alot lighter and I'm just getting heavier. People are saying muscle weighs more than fat and I understand that, but I should at least be loosing in cm's and fitting into my clothes more comfortably.

It's my second week since my discovery of my issues with insulin, which is the cause for me not loosing apparently according to the doc, so I am on medication, I should be noticing some change after a month, but if I haven't even seen a change after 2 weeks, what happens after a month! I don't want to give up though!

I had a bunch of blood tests done a few months ago to see if everything was as it should be - as I was cycling about 100 miles a week at one point and wasn't losing any weight or measurements, just gaining muscle. I was concerned about it so I wanted them to check my thyroid. Apparently everything was normal. Not sure if they checked out any possible problems with insulin. I'm just guessing with me it's the effects of stress/cortisol or my antidepressants... either way, my clothes just got tighter and tighter, and when I stopped all that cycling (to work, I had to quit) I piled weight on despite being careful not to overeat. I'm now trying to step up the exercise again, even though I fear it won't do any good :/

So, yeah... I know where you're coming from and how frustrating it is.

Hope you see some results with the medication, keep us posted

"just some girl" strangely enough now that you talk about the antidepressants, last year for approximately 6 months after sufferring a mini break down (work responsibilities), I was put onto antidepressants and since I've had problems with my weight, I just stopped them no weening process because I felt no feeling / emotion while I was on them, however, prior to that like I said in previous posts, I always managed to maintain my healthy weight, regardless of what I ate e.t.c. and then it all just caught up on me, but perhaps the anti depressants could of had a slight effect...not too sure, I suppose I'm always just looking for things to blame the weight gain on
