Every year at work I am surrounded by tasty treats and sweet things. I'd love to be able to turn away from them but today I'm feeling very VERY weak. Its easy for me to say "well, christmas only comes once a year" but at the same time I know deep down inside I'll hate myself for indulging.

Help!

Totally feel your pain! My family is totally food obsessed too this time of year. They plan and talk about those "special" meals weeks in advance.

thats a toughie. are you able to indulge in maybe one "goodie" each day, like ONE cookie, or one chocolate-dipped, triple
glazed, um, whatever? i SEEM to recall you talking about enjoying treats
Bee. i'm much more comfortable eating at home, that for me, not having them there, helps a lot. i really think i've gotten past the HATING MYSELF for indulging in a NORMAL, HUMAN, kind of way. yes, dear, i mean YOU! also, FEELING weak, DOES NOT mean we ARE weak. i tell
myself that, and i'm telling you, and everyone else on this forum.
god bless us all! lamb

Mrsbee - I hear your pain and share it. It has been a constant struggle for me also. I am trying to take it in baby steps. One step at a time. Making good choices from one meal to the next. You can do it. Just try to cut back a little. See if these little changes help you. You are worth it.I hope that you will feel better.

gee, i was a VERY happy woman when my husband stopped
bringing home mince tarts. i haven't done splurging like this since two xmas'es ago. AND i found out my scale weighs less than my psychiatrist's does. oh, dear. i weigh myself in the "almost altogether,"
which INCLUDES his office. he steps out the door when i do, ha,ha!
i'm in a bit of a dilemma, weight wise, because i want to lose, (no numbers) just a little weight, which my psychiatrist had something to say about. i hate to say it, but it is true. IT CAN BE VERY HARD TO STOP.
