Hi Miracle, thanks for asking this. I am going to have to be a bit of a hypocrite in order to respond, since I'm not doing so well with my ed thoughts at the moment. But, I too have trouble putting food in my mouth. When I've been doing well, I just had to start small, with liquids first, then really small bites, while reexamining what things I actually like tasting. If I started to feel like gagging, I'd stop eating entirely, and try again later in an hour or so. This can be the most difficult part. Good for you for trying your best!

I know exactly where your coming from! The only thing I can get down is liquids. But because of this situation maintaing a safe electrolyte and potassium level or you'll end up in the hospital and let me tell you by experience potassium drips are extremely painful. Gatorade is a great way to ensure your keeping in your system eventhough the food is giving you a hard time. Watch out for your bloodsugar too so you don't drop too low and risk a bloodsugar crisis. I've been dealing with my eating disorder for 31 years and eating and not wanting to gag has been the biggest struggle. If you feel as tough you can manage it boost or ensure is also packed with protien and potassium . I like sipping on soups because it gives me something besides just Gatorade. Lipton has a ton that won't make you gag. Good luck and I'm here.
