Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been on here. Not much has changed. I'm working on getting better with not much luck. My doctor has put me on Topamax. Which is an anti-seizure med. But also used to treat people with ED's. I've been offically diagnosed with bulimia, anorexia(binge/purge type) anxiety, depression & cutting. For those of you who didn't know. I still see my team. There slowly adjusting my meds. There using that meds as they call it "behavior modafacation". whatever that means. So far the only thing it does help with is I can say I do sleep better. The rest of it ummm not so much. I'm still losing weight. Just last week my nutrionist told me she was calling my doctor because she feels I need to be on a feeding tube. The next thing I find out is my phone ringing today and I answer it it was my doctors office telling me I have to be in on monday morning. Yikes. Thats never happened before. Ok so to be honest things have gotten waaaay out of control. I have even cracked 2 of my teeth from purging recently. I have 2 total knee replacemnets and I feel in my drive way on my left knee on the ice from being light headed & dizzy. I have no doubt my doctor is going to be putting me into the hospital this time because I know I have pushed it to far this time and I have no one to blame but me. I've lost alot of weight this time to. I know my team is looking out for me yet at the same time my ED is still not done with me. Which probably makes no sense at all.

WOW that was alot to read. i sympathise with your predicament. i'm no doctor or t but you should try to stll get a different one or maybe give your 100 percent and realise you need to see the doctor, if you lost your teeth. that sounds dangerous. i'll pray for you an you situation Angel, you do need help. i also say that to the other people on this post too. We can't really get the help we need unless it is 100 percent our decision. the doctors may not seem like they know what they are doing, but if we put ourselves into the picture with our decisions we can get some help even if it's admitting we have a problem in the first place. Then try to find a good T always helps. i wish and pray for all of you and good luck

Angel, I don't know why they put you on topamax if you are having a hard time gaining weight. My neurologist put me on it to help control my migraines and it worked perfectly, except that it has a side effect of supressing the appetite. When he found out that I had been hospitalized because my weight got too low, he took me off it immediately and was upset that no one called to tell him I was in the hospital.

I hope that all goes well and that you don't have to have a NG tube as those are not fun to have. Please check in and let us know how you are doing.
