So I know I've been walking a thin line with my doctors about having to go to the hospital or not... but I looked at the scale today and I've gained 3 lbs. I don't want to eat at all for a few days so I can get back down. Unfortunately I can't do that though because my whole family is watching me like a hawk to make sure I eat. Especially since I'm on Prozac and Provera. They want to make sure I don't get sick again.
I just wanted to know if I was the only one to completely freak out after gaining weight.

You are not the only one to freak out and you won't be the last either. It used to send me into a horrible spiral of restriction to find out how much I weigh. I have no idea how much I am now and just go by how my clothes are fitting. Of course I get weighed at the drs, I just have them weigh me blind and don't tell me. When I went to the ER the other night, I had to guess how much I weighed, I probably downsized it because I don't want to be over a certain number, even though I probably am. I even get anxious when my daughter gets weighed because she is a little taller than me and we wear the same size clothes.

Just curious WHY they have you on prozac if you have this issue....Prozac can be horrible for weight loss.....I actually got down to my absolute lowest after my pdoc put me on prozac....there were a lot of other things going on....but prozac absolutely took my appetite away COMPLETELY & made me feel sick when I age.
While saying that however, some people actually gain weight on prozac....to it's an individual issue for sure. I can go up & down that much in a day....my weight fluctuates all over the place......& sometimes if I have lost weight, I will wear heaver cloths/shoes when I know I'm getting weighed so the reality won't be noticed...... But now I have gotten to the point where I fluctuate around my safe weight....so there is no problem. I gain a few pounds, I loose a few.....that was the way I was all my life. Stress or sickness would hit & I would loose a lot....then slowly gain back to the safe place until something else hit again. Remember having bronchitis constantly growing up & the coughing made it horrible to eat....my parents would always bring me home chocolate shakes to get my weight back to a safe place. Ice cream is still a weakness of mine. I have found if you have normal activity in your life & normal eating.....the fluctuation is normal....but never stays one direction or the other once you are at a good weight for your body. For me unless a major stress that hits long term.......then forget it all....partly the sick feeling that stress causes, but also because not eating is about the only thing I can have control over at times like that

I'm going through the same thing. I spent a month trying to gain weight but not gaining ANYTHING, but then once I started gaining, it really freaked me out! It doesn't help that everyone keeps commenting on how much I'm 'filling out' and 'not looking so skinny'.
