I looked up on this because I have a morbidly obese friend who I think suffers from it, and there's something called Overeaters Anonymous that you can read about at http://www.oa.org/ if you think you have a real problem, or you can probably talk to any doctor about it. I'm sure many therapists, psychologists, and medical doctors know something about it.

Hi Skittles, I am going to go out on a limb here…I think it sounds like you need to be around more supportive people. Calling you a “pig” and stuff like that is just going to hurt your self-esteem even more…which might lead to problems with more depression…and then you eat to alleviate the bad feelings and get caught in a vicious cycle. It sounds like you are kinda accepting the negative comments as the truth. I am not sure where I am going with this…it sounds like a therapist might be a good place to start.

Hello (((SKITTLES)))
There is a group called TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) that may be helpful for you to learn new techniques for your compulsive eating habits. (((DePressME))) really took the words out of my mouth when it comes to seeking SUPPORT for yourself for your issues that you are having at this time. Support makes a GREAT difference in habits that you would like to change in your life. It is very good to see you in chat again, I hope that helps you for the moment until you can get into a group that can help you with your eating issues that you are having at this time. Take care of yourself (((SKITTLES))). Soidhonia
